Wii Party will be released in the UK on 8 October, it was announced this morning.

The game's more or less the next game in the Mario Party series, albeit with a few important changes. Instead of Mario and co, players will be controlling Mii characters.

What's more, development will not be handled by Hudson (who have been butchering the Mario Party series for a while now), but Nintendo itself.

What this essentially means is that, yes, this is the umpteenth party game for the Wii, but one in which the 80+ mini-games will be designed with the same quality as those in Wii Sports Resort and Wii Fit.

I alredy decided to get it after I've seen the really well made "shake the baby" video on you tube. It's nice to have a date to look forward too. This will be a fun game to play during my christmas vacation.
