Well most male flight attendants are gay, at least from what I've experienced, never seem to be attractive either ... weird

To be fair, he has an ex-wife who has supported him 100% throughout this spectacle.
Having gay family members myself and having acquaintances in the gay community, men coming out in their 30s and 40s after a marriage and children is not uncommon.
As for flight attendants, I work 10pm-6am in mental health, but I do not know how these people sleep at night with a job where you may change timezones every day or two at work. I have to give props to flight attendants, male or female, for not only putting up with the constant change in time, but having to deal with fliers who have this sense of entitlement laced with rage when it comes to their luggage.
In this case, I would say hero because of the demands of his job and going out bigger than most would not have the balls to do. As for the actions he undertook with the activating of the emergency exit ramp, I don't see him getting a severance package or lawsuit settlement anytime soon unless he was discriminated for being gay, which would explain his actions moreso than one customer hitting him in the head with her carryon luggage.

Wasn't that male French-Canadian flight attendent that was the first person diagnosed with AIDS in the US allegedly attractive?

I love this site.. instead of discussing of he is a hero or a lunatic we are talking about if he's gay.. xD

He's just a little bit lunatic, but he's a hero. Ill-bred people should travel by ox cart, not by plane.
Seems pretty normal to me, just got annoyed and angry, as many would. A lot of airline people have excellent patience for idiots on planes. This guy had enough and showed it. Think I would have done something similar to a jerk of a passenger.
I just like the image in my head of him grabbing a beer, opening the escape hatch and off he goes.
Hmm, pie.
when he is gay then the question is if he is a hero, if so he is both

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.
That's hilarious. XD

Don't know if it is just an American thing, but always seems to be this superiority complex attitude that Americans put towards people that work in the service industry. "You get paid to clean my ass" kinda thing I suppose. He handled it badly but can't say I blame him. Doing your job shouldn't require you to become sub-human. |
