^ True about strong holiday ps3 sales, yet it is still not the same good ol' playstation that used to sweep it's rivals off their feet. I'm confident that the Wii is going to keep steamrolling in 2008, but the same can't be said about the PS3, save for the first month of the 2nd quarter, nor the xbox, which frankly, i haven't heard of it having any colossal games coming out. I guess it'll al depend on price-cuts or rather, who will go the greater distance in this manner.

That is based on the numbers we have here and the numbers that Sony has givin. I could be wrong, but please don't jump to conclusions. I tend not to try and post pure BS, if I am going to take the time to post somthing I always have something to back it up. I do know that I was a little high at 230 to 250, but I have a lot of numbers in my head right now with all this christmas shoping and bills.

So is that 2 weeks in a row that the DS got a million before Japan numbers came in? It's gonna break a million all 6 weeks, isn't it? Has that ever happened? Wasn't the record 4 or 5 or something with the PS2? I could be wrong. I wasn't paying too much attention in the other thread that covered this madness.

That 230k was a little high on my part. I could still be wrong with my 215k, but based on what I understand from my post above, Sony said 245% increase year over year and 215 would be VGs number with a 245% increase. Hey like Jeremy Dunham says over at IGN "only time will tell".

I think I would rather believe a statement from Microsoft that gives the numbers plain and simple than some vague percentages that you have to trace back to a week from a year before.  Sony is hiding behind percentages because they have something to hide, and they know there isn't any public data that shows how many PS3s they sold during that week last year.

 It's funny sometimes coming here to see the rationalizations that fanboys will do to spin it as good news on the console they support or spin it bad news on the console they don't support.
