Forums - Nintendo - Is there a way to make Wii games look better in HD tvs?

You could buy it at monoprice.com, they have them for about 5 bucks. That's where I got my HDMI cable for my PS3 and their products are quality.

When I bought my HDTV, I bought the Nintendo 480p cables and it did make a big difference. I bought mines at Gamestop btw.

I don't really recommend upconverting video games. Maybe there's one out there that doesn't introduce (much) lag, but all the video-augmenting tech in my TV and tuner comes with noticeable lag, and a slightly sharper image just isn't worth even a millisecond, IMO.

Maybe if you never play games that require twitch reflexes.

Personally I'm buying one of these soon, the picture does look clearly better from what I've seen

you gotta get the 480p cable.

Yeah get the cable if you're playing Wii on an HD set, it helps a lot. Looks almost indistinguishable from HD.

thats the one I was thinking of originally, and yeah the side-by-side comparisons are noticably different.

Dolphin emulator on PC.

Lets you have 1080p resolution and 4X MSAA. Makes some games look better than 360/PS3 titles...

Looking at these games, I suspect Nintendo will re-release a lot of these titles when Wii 2 comes out as they look perfectly fine in HD. Low res textures are not visible at all.
