I think he will. The reason his poll numbers are so low now is because people simply expected way too much from him at the beginning of his presidency. With all things considered, I think he's done an ok job, could be better, but he's still accomplished major things. By the time 2012 comes around, Unemployment will surely be lower by then, we'll be out of Iraq and hopefully doing something meaningful in Afghanistan or withdrawing from there.

Sorry but

The expectations are = what he promised

People expect him to turn the economy around in 2 years when we had 8 years of bad policies.

OMG he did not promise he could clean this mess up in 2 yr's!

He promised he would get out of Iraq. He didn't. He promised to close Gitmo... twice. He didn't. He said if we did the bailouts, unemployment would not go higher then 8.5%. It did. He said if we pass healthcare, it would cost the average american less money. The CBO has stated that health insurance will cost more with the new law, then it would have otherwise.

He said he would bring both parties together. Nope. He said he would control spending. Nope.

That's just 7 quick ones off the top of my head. I could come up with dozens more if I thought about it, but I will stop. Now, give me 7 great things he has done in the two years he has been in office, or at least 7 things he said he would do, that he did.

war takes time. it's not just pull in pull out. aparently you don't understand strategy, but thats not something i'm going to argue about!

CBO? there playing it both ways. they say if this happens this happens and if that happens that happens. bad spin buddy. try something else. yes i watched CNNand they check with the CBO and Obama is on the mark by 52%. it's back and forth nothing solid the bill isn't perfect but at the lease we got something done.

well if the other side wants no part of bipartisanship even on the bills they help draft cause they want to play politic's then what you see is what you get. lets face it. nobody in washington wants to work together. and they dam sure don't want change. it's time to start over with our political system.

you control spending and see if you get to work on time. fix  your car without spending and see if it can fix it's self. it will take spendding to fix this problem. the real problem is covering the cost of said spending. thats the only thing i agree with Republicans on. but thats not something i'd debate about.

It doesn't have to be throw money at the problem. It would be better that everyone tightens their belts and takes a hit now, or else the economy will get worse. If it was so easy to spend our way out of problems wouldn't everyone just be rich? We have to learn to use our resources wisely and not squander them. Not everyone can have everything like we are trying to do.

i got a better idea. you give me more BS i can shoot down with my BS. call superman to save us. he's our only hope.

P.S. this is fun! my heads level now. i can do this without getting pissed off.

Thats a relief, no one has to hate this. Honestly I am an independant also. My biggest beliefs right now are we need to lower taxes, and start to remove most welfare programs from government. I am for a small government ( I am also for more state rights and less federal), and a populace that can take care of themselves. I also believe americans should have as many freedoms as possible, basically if I am not infringing on some eleses rights, or hurting someone I should be able to do what I want.

Your arguing with me that getting out of Iraq day one is dumb? I hope you then agree Obama the candidate with respect to war, was dumb, because that's what he said he would do. Day one he would start withdrawing from Iraq.

As for the rest, I control spending every day. If I didn't, I could not pay my bills, and I would not have a car to get to work in, or a place to live to go home too.

How about this. You get yourself into a situation where your bills are twice as much as you earn, and see it taking out a loan fixes it.

If you think it will, vote for Obama again.

Out of all his campaign promises he's only broken 20 and has kept 120 along with 38 compromises, 81 are "stalled' and 243 are in the works.  I think he's done a lot, the problem is he promised too much.  With 120 promises kept he has only really accomplished 1/5th of what he promised. (it totals to 505 campaign promises)

Ahh, so for every 7 things I tell you I am going to do, one can be a lie?

Wow. Sorry, but that ratio sucks. I get the things he can't get done because Washington sucks, but the lie count should be 0. 20 is 20 to many.

Relection won by defult.  Republicans dont have ANY front runners SMART enough and Dems are gonna back him just to have control of the White House for another 4 years.  Maybe by then will come to our senses and vote for Healthcare for everyone and not war.....

Obama is turning everything into a communist type world for the U.S  Everything is one sided with him.... he did give people change... he made everything WORSE.

Obama does nothing hes a joke/puppet .... the obama modification home loan plan is more of a joke... he doesnt pressure banks to do anything ... Banks will kick you out of your home like nothing even when you give them the paperwork they need ....

That's a weak argument, the point is that for a president he has a very good track record of keeping his promises and very few times has gone against what he said he would do.  In those instances some of them were out of his control as well, but I never said that he was perfect, just that people have this perception that he hasn't kept any promises when in reality he has kept 4 times more promises than broken.  You can't say he hasn't been doing what he's said he would do just because he didn't get a couple of things to happen.   In two short years he's been able to get done about 3/10s of what he promised what he would do, if we can expect his next two to have the same amount of progress than we can expect roughly 5/10 to 6/10ths of all the promises he's made to be kept.  Over another four years if re-elected that would mean between 8/10ths to 9/10ths kept.  He has done a lot of what he said he would do and at this rate will accomplish almost everything he's said he would do.  That's pretty simple mathematics I'm sure you can understand that, so why would you try to demonize the 20 promises he has not been able to keep out of 505, surely you would realize how miniscule that amount is?  You say that the amount of lies should be 0, but let's convert 20/505 into decimals, what do you get?  0.0396 repeating.  I'd say that's pretty darn close, in fact if you round off it is zero.

I hope so, The Republicans are Far Right Nazi's and the Libertarians are even worse than Mao.

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

The question is: who can beat him?  Who will be The Great White Hope?  Once the White House goes black, it doesn't go back.

i was afraid we wouldn't agree on anything but common ground is what we found
