Not to be rude, but ... then you're simply naive.

There is WAAAAAAAAAYYYYY too many stars and planets out there for there to be no other intelligent life and a great number of those are millions of years older than Earth. Therefore, there is absolutely no way other life couldn't have progressed to the point where it was capable of travel between the areas within a Galaxy and probably between Galaxies.

We have been visited throughout all of Earth's existence and thankfully, non have been hostile. Hopefully, we'll get to the point where we not only can travel like that but also not be so war minded and conquer those we meet who are below our capabilities.

I'm not doubting life outside of Earth. I am just very doubtful that we really had contact with them. If that makes me naive, so be it.

I do not doubt that life may exist somewhere else but I doubt we ever had contact. Our present technology just goes the way to show it.

Just because we saw them doesn't necessarily mean they actually landed on Earth, though.  We see for millions of miles when we look up at the sky, so we have no idea how far away these objects really are.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

There is no concrete evidence at all to suggest there is intelligent lifeforms out there, let alone ones capable of travelling between galaxies. Even if there was, simply looking at them as they exist on tv shows or as they're dipicted in our culture may be naive, ie. possessing traits such as communication and the ability to create. I don't buy into the idea that simply because the universe is gigantic, is has to contain other lifeforms.
