New color (white) and Sengoku Basara 3 boost, but mostly pecause of the new color.

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Xenoblade (Wii), Super mario 3D land (3DS), Guild Wars (PC)

Great jump for Mass Effect 2. Conviction has amazing legs.

Alan Wake must go up god dammit :p

Things should get back to normal in Japan next week. This is proof that software moves hardware. Can't wait for the holiday season when Donkey Kong Country is advertised in Japan and Nostalgia takes over the numbers and weeks^^

What? Sengoku Basara didn't move 25k, it was the new PS3 color. The game itself probably moved just 2-3k.

I think you're underestimating Sengoku Basara 3. There were already games with only a 150k opening on the PS3 in Japan which moved more than only 2-3k hardware.

10k at least this time.

Yay, Monster Hunter Tri finally got past 500k in the west!

Oh, at this rate, my copies of Sakura Wars and Fragile will totally be worth lots of monies by 2048.

"Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!"-Dr. Peter Venkman

That's the only quote that comes to mind when I see this week chart.  Which is kinda appropriate since the Ghostbusters game is on sale on Amazon today for all 3 consoles.

Yep, Wii is 'doomed',   It's sales are in a steady and fairly quick rate of decline.   While the competition is doing great.

Nor do I think any of the upcoming titles will change that.   It's fairly safe to say all Nintendo fans have Wii's already and those are the ones who'll buy Metroid, Kirby, DKCR.   Wii Party will be huge and could help sales but isn't going to be a game changer.    Wii has become old hat.   Which also isn't good for Sony as that makes Move old hat to most people too.

Looks like Nintendo will start the next generation afterall, and is best positioned too.

Meanwhile, hats off to MS, they are doing better this generation than I think most people would have ever given them credit for back in 2006.

I predict that the sales for the 10 weeks of the holiday in 2010 will be:

Wii>P.S.3>360

Wii should be back at #1 in time for the holiday's with games finally coming out for the console. It may be #3 this week but what do you expect no games means no sales...plus Wii>P.S.3 again worldwide starting next week.

In my opinion the 360 is mainly selling the way it is because of current 360 owners upgrading to the Slim so it will decline by the Holiday's...With that said the 360 should do very well in America and maybe even close to American Wii #'s but Worldwide the P.S.3 should edge out the 360 in the Holiday 10 week period.

Maybe, I don't think it's as big to move  HW sales by 50%,...anyway the push, even with 10k sales, would be mostly due to the new color. I expect something similar to Black Wii MH3 next weeks in terms of drop off, 28-30k I think.

I've been saying this for the last couple of weeks, but isn't this Wii's lowest week ever?
