Get it yesterday already in Episode 6 ... Downloaded Signal today... This game is AWESOME !! dont know why they 8´s its easy a 9/10 Game! Awesome!

I'm gonna see about getting it on Thursday.

I'm gonna buy StarCraft 2 and i was planning on buying a new 360 or PS3 game too to keep me occupied.

If it's at the right price I might buy it... Or if I see it to rent I'll give it a go.

I've got a major backlog of games to get through in 3 weeks but Alan Wake is right at the top of my list of games to get when I'm done those (that and Red Dead). I just hope I can get through Heavy Rain, God of War 3, Dragon Age, Mass Effect 2 (2nd play), Left 4 Dead 2, SC: Conviction, Darksiders and Valkyria Chronicles before Halo Reach comes out and make time in between for these two... :S

It really is a very good game...second best one that I've played this year.

I'd have to agree with you it definately deserves better scores than 8's. Probably my favourite game so far this year

0_o I forgot ME2 came out this year....I guess Alan Wake is my 3rd favorite game I've played this year.

gets 9.0 from me as well.

Only downside, the combat gets slightly repetitive in episode 2 or 3 (can't remember where exactly).

Storytelling is brilliant, graphics are great (if they were only in 720p *sigh*), very atmospheric and even a bit funny.

Fantastic game. And my faveourite this gen. Sorry ME2 and Halo 3.

Can it hold up against Halo Reach?

Hmmm we shall see.

Does anyone else think sales of this game would've benefited from a demo? I seem to think people are hesitant to invest in it because they're not sure if they'll like it and for the length it seems like a pretty steep cost. I know the quality is through the roof and I plan on getting it the moment I have the time to play it but I know quite a few people who just aren't sold on it because they don't know if they'll like it.
