"I don't need you to worship me, but if you don't I'll put you in a pit of fire to burn alive."

-God

Well, my God of Scripture doesn't agree with this.

What does your God of scripture agree with?

Love, Grace, faith, hope.

There are different theologies about Satan and Hell.   I've always learned and believed that theology is an opinion and we can respect different opinions.  But I don't agree with this notion that if you don't believe in Jesus, you'll go to hell (burning fire place) forever and ever.

We are saved by faith of Jesus Christ and He died for all.  Our faith in Him gets us in the relationship with God and I believe this would help us live a life in His Kingdom (on earth).

well, I can go on but I think you will see the difference.

I was always a Christian, or thought I was, I fully came to Christ around my freshman year of Highschool, I've seen the  fruition of God on my life and I'll never question his being/presence. to all who do not believe/accept/disown God whether you want it or not I will pray for you because God say what happens to those who do not accept and or disown him.

I think why Christianity(and other branches of those who follow Jesus/God)   has taken such criticism is because for all the corruption that has taken place, such as false healers, christian based cults, false prophets, people thinking they're the next Messiah ect.

also how the media portrays the religion faith, I tend to watch many crime shows, and you won't believe how many time they make these religious murderers thinking they're doing God's work.

P.S. Hallelujah!!!=)

Well, I used to be pretty religious when I was little. Went to church fairly often, prayed in the morning and before I went to  bed and all that. I think most people (especially my mother)  thought that I'd become a priest when I grew up (though the ideea never really appealed to me even then).

As I grew older I started questioning my beliefs and came to the conclusion that I had no logical reason to believe any of it. I also disagreed with many Christian teachings. Even of God  were real he would have  no right to my life, nor anyone else's. I don't like dictators, and the Christian God seemed to me like nothing more or less than that. Forcing people worship him just because he created everybody and everything, sending those that refused to be his mindless sheep to hell. Of course this would be under the pressumption that he existed.

you have a pretty wrong picture of a God than.God does not forces you nor needs you to worship him. if he wanted or needed that, he would just make us all do that because he can. he gave you a power of free will, so that YOU can deside if you want to worship someone or not.

If one doesn't worship him won't one be sent into the depths of hell to burn for all eternity?

If one comitt sins and and is a bad person in general will burn for all eternity. You dont even have to be religious nor to be christian to earn salvation. Just try to be as good person as you can be and accept God (dont have to worship him if you dont want to) as your Lord and you wont ''burn'' forever.

I am curious what God would be so happy with a pittance of good most humans would do on their own.  I also question the premise of trying to be a good person.  Who does NOT try to be a good person?  Even psychopaths attempt to be good in their own mind.  Maybe a person feels powerless in their bad state, but they do seem to try to do good.  I also don't see mercy in all this.

A lot of things that are considered sins by christians are harmless (pre-marital sex, contraception, homosexuality). Are you saying that people who have sex before getting married are bad people 'cause they found no reason to wait? Or that gays are bad people 'cause they're gay and don't want to live in self-hatred and repression all their lives? Or that people who use contraceptives are bad people 'cause the don't want to have a kid? And acceptin "God as your Lord" is worshipping him.

Christians believe that the Bible is the WORD of God - flawless.  But when it comes to pre-marital sex, contraception, homosexuality and other views on life is interpretations of the WORD of God.  And the way we interpret the Bible is just OPINIONS.  Opionions are flawed though the WORD of God isn't.

So, we have many different theologies (opions) but one WORD of God.  Not all Chrisitian theologies condemn pre-marital sex, homosexuality, contracptions and such.  E.g., I'm a Christian, I belive in God's WORD and that it's infallible, I believe Jesus is God and my LORD, but I don't condemn pre-marital sex (unless people use and abuse others, and the fact that it may take away the desire to be married to some), homosexuality (homosexual acts in the Bible is totally different than how we view homosexuals today - I don't believe Sodom and Ghomorah is about homosexuality so we should not use that story against homosexuals).

I've studied some theologies (opions) and i agree with some and disagree with some.  But no matter where we Christians agree and disagree, God is God!

While you seem to be eliminating through your interpretation all the things that one might view negative about Christianity, your interpretation may be wrong, and if those things were true, and if your interpretation were wrong, wouldn't you regret worshipping such a God?

I know this is a bit irrelavent but I'm from a Muslim upbringing, I even attended a madrassa (in the UK) and renouncing Islam was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I basically quit it because it was in conflict with my true beliefs of human rights for all and justice. Islam was totally incompatible with it on so many levels. Of course once I had quit, I felt so liberated and then I saw religion through a totally different prism as an agnostic. I now saw it as just a collection of ancient traditions and stories from the primitive ancient world. I will never ever go back to religion ever again and in fact I hate Islam (and all religions but in particular Islam) quite a lot now.

Question: Did your family try to kill you?

The word in the Bible texts which is understood as "premaritial sex" and sometimes written as "fornications" is pornea.  The core of this word is prostitution.  Anything discussed comes out to it, and will be said to be "premarital sex".  I think one does clearly see what the Biblical pattern is supposed to be, and ideally should be.  It is meant to be one man and one woman, until death do they part, and there shouldn't be divorce.  The purpose that sex serves is to have children.  The marital relationship, between a man and a woman is supposed to show what real love is like, and model it for the world.

The question is how far can one deviate from this pattern and it still be ok.  How much in the pre-marriage state is one allowed to do, and is appropriate.  What I do know is that in the very lax standards we have today, even in cases where birth control is used and is acceptable, there is an epidemic of STDs about.  Large percentages of segments of society have STDs.  It is a mess.  The media pushes sex to sell and generate interest, among portions of the population that are stupid.  And the nature of what real love is, is lost.  Children  don't grow up in homes that properly train them either, and there is real love that is missing.
