This went from maybe buy to must buy

Yeah, some quick googling shows the iso is under 4GB, meaning single layer. Makes no dual audio all the more inexcusable imo. |
It does cost $10 less than the PS2 version, so at least they didn't make us pay the same for less. I don't think I could have bought it if it cost that much.

So, essentially, it's no longer a Metroid game. It's Metal Gear Solid with Samus Aran.
So much for the lone bounty hunter exploring an alien world, uncovering the story as she goes. Better to just tell us a story in cutscenes. That way we don't have to worry about all that difficult "game playing."
Metroid shouldn't have cut scenes.
Cut scenes should be limited to in-game story elements a la Bioshock and Transformers: War for Cybertron.
That is just greaaaat .... i cant freaking wait for this game...

Nintendo could u please just take my money and give me back my 3DS?!
It seems they are placing priority on cinematics over gameplay. I just lost what little hope I had left in this game.

Watch some Nintendo channel interviews, or read some of the impressions out there. While there definitely is more emphasis on cinema, it's not at the expense of gameplay.

It better not be linear or even try to hide that it is.

Every Metroid since Return of Samus has been linear. Just that most have done a better job of hiding it (Prime, Super, and II), and some not (Fusion, Prime 2, and Prime 3)
Exploration in Metroid has only ever been about finding shortcuts and power-ups, which is the case even for the most linear Metroid (Prime Hunters).

There's a difference between generally linear and only allowing the occasional sidepath. The sidescrolling games have been getting more and more towards the latter. Super hit the sweet spot, but Fusion and Zero Mission, while not bad, did get into this at points.
And I still say this story has no business in the game, period.
