Wow those numbers would be pretty impressive if ture. Still got my doubts about it though. Hope i'm proved wrong.

Ouch! It looks like being zombified could be better!

indeed, so many titles are coming this holiday that i have no idea if i'l be able to afford a new laptop to play starcraf 2.
are all 360 owners rich? 450$ on hardware in one year is a lot, and if it's not then i really wonder why the huge price of the ps3 was a problem.
Being in 3rd place never felt so good
You will see that Kinect will have no legs whats so ever. When people realise it doesnt work as good as advertised. A bit likt GTA IV. But even worse.
Thats if M$ dont fix all the tech issues
Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!
Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st ![]()
^^
What I don't understand, is why Kinect flaws and issues just got worse in the last days. Wasn't MS supposed to try to iron them out? Did it perchance make a bugged firmware or driver update? It wouldn't be the first time a MS update makes things worse...

Very, but nowhere near what they "deduced" from their "analysis"
Not naming Sources is fine when theres a track record, imo because if i trust the site/person claiming things then i dont need to know where they get their info.....but MCV doesnt have that luxery of a proven rack record.

Apart from always showing themselves to be reliable? But because they paint a rosey pic for Kinect they are all of a sudden 'not' reliable. MCV = understandably reliable, and there is no reason to not trust them. |
They could say Kinect only had ten pre-orders and was going to fail miserably and bankrupt Microsoft. This still wouldn't be a reliable source of information.
Or to put it another way, just because a "reliable source" posts it, doesn't make it true. If you trusted somebody, and they told you to jump off a cliff because there was a trampoline and chocolate at the bottom, would you?
Kinect is going to sell extremely well for one of the same reasons as the 360 S....many people want new hardware. It's going on five years since the launch of the 360 and there are a lot of gamers looking to purchase something new. With this console cycle showing no ending anytime soon, people will purchase because it's something different to mess around with, even if it turns out to be mediocre.
I also think Kinect is going to break in to the mainstream cosnumer this holiday as well. Marketing and word of mouth hype can go an awfully long way in making a product a must have holiday gift.

If Microsoft can advertise Kinect as the next 360, as new tech (which they have been), the wannabee tech junkies will buy them ASAP.
Human contact, the final frontier.
