Nintendo 3DS coming sooner than expected

Are you ready for it?

Gamers interested in Nintendo's new 3D portable might want to start saving a little sooner. It seems that Nintendo has just confirmed to Bloomberg Japan that their new 3DS system will indeed launch in Japan by October of this year.

 

We've already heard about Nintendo's upcoming announcement on September 29th, but many were still expecting the system to launch sometime early next year, not this holiday season. There was no mention of a North American or European release date, but the simple fact that the system is coming to Japan in October lets us know that the system is obviously ready to go and some games must be nearing completion.

Japan by October?  Sounds good to me

What about the first party launch line up, I'm think it will probably be Pilotwings and Mario Kart.

2. After researching where you got this from (I followed the link in the picture, then back to GameSpot) it seems that, according to the comments, GameSpot were wrong. They used a Google translator or something.

So unfortunately we still don't know when it'll hit.

You're right, gamespot is a joke, but thats not where I get news from. I get news from a lot of sites, but not gamespot.

You're right, gamespot is a joke, but thats not where I get news from. I get news from a lot of sites, but not gamespot.

3DS to America: I predict either Holiday 2010 or March 2011



 Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

It will either be released outside of Japan before the 26th of November or it won't come out until possibly Febuary. I just dont see nintendo releasing their new product after black friday. It would be a dumb move for sales and people would have already spent their cash on their christmahanakwansicah money already. Nintendo will either play it safe or go balls to the wall in production. Doubt the latter though.
