and what about the psp 59 mil sold vs 62.7 shipped yea right thats due for huge adjustment upwards to while nintendo ds is at 132 shipped and 132 sold

Nintendo is traditionally a very conservative shipper, they have been since they channel stuffed with GameCube back in 2003 and it came back to bite them in the ass.  They try to keep a tighter supply chain than Sony or MS tend to.

hm...what are they selling in stores? nothing?

HAVING 0 DS STOCK WAITING FOR THE FUTURE WEEKS, ARE YOU SERIOUS??

I think I am going to find it hard to take you seriously in the future now....

So NPD (US), Media Create (Japan), GfK (UK / Other Europe) and VGC (worldwide) are all wrong... ?!

I really don't know, but if we talk about undertracked all of the ones I listed above undertrack the PS3. Every single one. That does sound strange. But maybe Sony counts in a different way. Like consoles ordered, but not shipped or even sold to customer yet.

This is no trolling, just some thoughts.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

like "are you serious? Really? you're not kidding right?" there's no sarcasm in the sentence, i didn't know there was such a difference.

Nintendo prefers continuous small shipments to the possibility of excess stock.  They're practically phobic when it comes to potentially overstocking after what happened with GameCube, to their detriment I'd say too.  They were way too slow to ramp up Wii production due to this.

edit: also, how was that 62.7m PSP figure arrived at?  Does it accurately reflect the change in SCE's accounting methods back in 2007?

Sony counts their consoles SHIPPED to retailers, and MS counts their consoles SOLD to retailers.

EMEAA region is very hard to track which I am betting that is where all the mistakes are being made, you forget vgc was wrong on ps3 sales recently on NA sales vs NPD and it was avery big margin, so what makes you think they have the EMEAA figures right when everyone knows it's harder to track??

I dont know about channel stuffing, but this link leads me to beleive that it is a rare practice:

Also, the more shipments we have, the more that i'm going to think that retailers are expecting a sizable upswing in sales, so I'm thinking that the rumors about the price cut or cheaper bundle are probably true.
