well I've jumped back into Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2(both SP and MP) so that's where my time is spent,

and now that I've found my Xbox360 controller(left it over my friends house) gonna dive back into ME2

You seem to be feeling the same way that many Wii owners were feeling in 2008, and look at them now! I wouldn't worry too much.

you must mean 2009 dude. In 2008 my friends and I were to busy playing Brawl and mario kart. In 2009, all we had for most of the year was punch-out (which is still very fun.) :)

I'll agree on that slightly. For a year with a new Metroid, new Donkey Kong Country, new sort-of-mainline Halo, new Fable, new Gran Turismo, and much more, there doesn't seem to be as much head exploding hype as there was even for a game from a less prestigious franchise like Uncharted 2 last year. Hype for that game was off the charts, while these games nominally should dwarf it in significance, but they don't have the same level of head asplode.

I was actually thinking about the second half of the year, when everyone had already played Brawl for four months and the only big games for the holidays were ports of HD games like CoD and Guitar Hero and Wii Music. But yeah, 2009 wasn't very fun either.

Hype is overrated anyway, there's nothing better than buying a game without knowing any of it's backstory and just being pleasantly surprised. All of my favourite games from this gen followed those guidelines and it's also why I liked Bayonetta just as much as I liked God of War 3. 

People Expect Halo4's And GTA's Elder Scrolls 5 and PSP2's Wii HDS Massive PS360 updates And huge Exclusives to be announced every day. Its July, Gaming always gets Dry this Time of year.
