In the modern era: Kayo Dot, Wolves in the Throne Room, Built to Spill, Neutral Milk Hotel, Tool, Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Burzum, Isis, Goodspeed You! Black Emperor, Devin Townsend, Ulver, Iron & Wine, Smashing Pumpkins, Tori Amos, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Agalloch...

Drudkh and Sufjan Stevens!

Hmmm.  I was impressed by the occasional Sigur Ros, and Radiohead mentioned.  Someone said streetlight manifesto, who are somehow making a decent sound out of ska music, but you sir, really nailed a lot of bands I've recently been getting into.  Kayo Dot?  Come on, to think someone else on here listens to them?  wow...

haha Goodspeed, but anyway, what's your favorite Godspeed album?

Here's a video from my band's last show Check out more (bigger) videos here http://www.youtube.com/user/icemanout

Blink 182!!!

Big fan of Bad Religion.

Pink Floyd, no question, I got Dark Side of the Moon on LP when I was 4 and saw my first concert when I was 7.

After Floyd though, my tastes vary so wildly it'll be Johnny Cash one day to Rage Against the Machine to Weird Al to Megadeth to Janis Joplin to White Stripes.... so who knows??

Skyclad for their lyrics, seeing as they've made up about 87% of my signatures. Plus bitter British Voices never get old, why else is Yahtzee so popular?

Actual music, well, that's... harder to say. If you want me to relax, play some Angel Dust (The band, not the album). Picollo Aganini I suppose, good luck tracking his recordings down though! (He died in like 1793. Was just known as the Devil's Fiddler, as he was apparently quite a showman and a fiddleplayer, so much so that he was tearing down the house constantly, despite fragile frame and bad health).

Yes, the 2nd answer was just to be difficult.

See Ya George.

At least following a comedians own jokes makes his death easier.
