Forums - General - What (in your opinion) is the best musician/band/pop group...?!

Wow everyone here is basically the same here... My favorite artist would definitely be Kanye West aka Mr. West but also love music form John Legend but even he doesn't beat Musiq Soulchild in R&B. I guess my favorite band would be Fallout Boys but then again I like stuff from the Plain White T's and My Chemical Romance also John Mayer is pretty good. I also like the old stuff like from Earth Wind and Fire and the Temptations. However if I had to pick one genre to listen to forever it would be gospel and the good stuff from Tye Tribbett Donnie McClurkin and many many others.

so suck on that

Historically? The Beatles (duh).

Currently? Metric.

I'm glad I'm not going to concerts with some of you guys, lol.

I kid of course, but for me, with music I either like it or I don't. Some of it I like more than others, but I listen to everything and don't have a particular genre that I like (although there are very, very, very few country songs that I like).

One band I can always listen to would have to be The Kinks (live recordings though, not the studio crap). They're absolutely awesome, and the best British Invasion band of them all.

Oh, and on the more atypical side of things, Australian DJ Nick Skitz throws together some pretty good mixes.

U a nu-metal fan?! ... That was a retoric question btw!

Eehrm... I think Reanimation overall is best cuzz i like the electric beats, loops, etc...

But i guess overall i like Breaking the habit, Leave out all the rest, Session, Numb, No roads left (B-side MTM Itunes), One step closer,  Announcement service public (LPU6), Figure 0.9, Wth>you, Krwlng, In the end and somewhere i belong

MTM btw has the 'weakest' songs (more poppie) but the best political message.

THE NETHERLANDS

Brand new are probably the ones that stand out for me most, incredible lyrics and their newest album is just amazing. Shame their first album is er... so mediocre, but their 2nd and 3rd make up for that.

Tons more bands to add to that though, though lately I've been listening to Dillinger Escape Plan, Drop Dead. Gorgeous, Sky Eats Airplane, Hurt and Streetlight Manifesto.

ARCADE FIRE are the best band in the world. Funeral is the perfect album, I have never heard an album so brilliant before or since. They are so good live it is unreal, even better live then Muse, (I have seen both live). If you havent heard of ARCADE FIRE you must check them out.

Best songs: Tunnels, Power out, Intervention, Wake Up, Rebellion and No Cars Go.

Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Berlioz, Liquid Tension Experiment, Steve Vai, and various other progressive rock bands.
