No, it's because you exercise it off. The problem is people don't so all the food just builds up fat. Also some people have faster metabolisms where it can seem you aren't fat because your body rids itself faster of excess sugar. It usually has to do though if you were raised in a family that traditionally eats a lot and doesn't exercise. They lead an example for their children to eat a lot and not care so it keeps going on.

I live in Houston and I'd say that there are a lot of fat people, but the percentage of them isn't very high in proportion to all the people I see. Most forigners that say Americans are all fat bastards problably only have Youtube videos claiming Americans are fat and have pictures of fat people as "proof."

Some people here in New York are really fat! Others take care of their body like its their #1 priority. I'm not overweight at all and my gym sometimes gets really  crowded so I hope the average weight goes down in this country eventually.

Those pictures are looking at different things.  You cannot compare obesity in the US to overweight somewhere else.

I'm not a big fan personally.  It's... pretty fatty stuff too.

I think it's all portions in Japan and Vietnam.

Well, I guess its true the US has lots of fat people, but almost every western country has them.

Here in Chile its sucks that you get in a bus or in the subway and fat women use lots of space, I wonder if they actually think they can have husbands not cheating on them when they look like that.

So, yeah, we are not as fat as you yet, but we are close it seems.

I'm american and I can say thats retarded. I support the women in the restuarant but not the food. That place needs to be shut down.
