Just another Stupid Believe

theres a difference. this was predictedages ago by some roman or greek guy (cant remember name off top of my head but he predicted 9/11 and WW2 and all that so he might be right)

Nostredomus, ugghhh, come on seriously the guy also predicted we'd come into general contact with aliens, a cure for aids, and oneata new york vanishing in a great white light by the year 2000, all of his"predictions" were vague outlines that people could infer however they want.

Sorry but I'm going with the Gospel on this one, if the end comes it will be like a thief in the night you won't see it coming,

I HAVE A DOUBLE DRAGON CAB IN MY KITCHEN!!!!!!

NOW A PUNISHER CAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, i believe in the magnetic poles shift theory. It makes a lot of sense as magnetism has substantial power over living and dead objects. One thing to remeber is that if the poles were to shift very fast, we would probably experience earthquakes, since it would impact the way magma flows thus creating new rifts in the earth shell structure. Furthermore all of the living orgamisms that find their way based on magnetism (birds are a good example) will go crazy.

2019...only 10 years remain...shit!!!

You are both right. From what I've read Earth gets calling cards from NEO (near earth objects) all the time. I do believe that one coming around 2030 is suppose to come close. I think that one is significant because it is also big. The last NEO that came really close to Earth was in 2004 and was only discovered 3 days before it passed. It was 30 meters across and was only 43,000 km from the Earth's surface. The question you should ask yourself is why you didn't hear too much about it? Will our government warn us risking widespread panic over something that might hit us. Or will they stay quiet hoping that it will pass, knowing they can't do much about it anyways. It's not like they can evacuate millions of people to the other side of the world. Most likely if something hits us, we won't even know it does till it's too late.

Firstly, the Mayan calendar does not 'end' in 2012. It just begins a new long count. Mayans added the long count because their previous calendar was reset in too short of an interval. They instead devised an addition to it to encompass all of their history. However, as all of their calendars are circular, it too will simply reset on or about December 12, 2012.

To Mayan's we are in the 4th time this long count has reset to zero. Each time it resets that year is full of calamity. However, the year of calamities happens every so often, this is compound during a reset of the long count. So the idea isn't that the world will end, but that something globally bad will happen.

Furthermore, there are plenty of Mayan writings and predictions that go way past 2012.

Allowing one asteroid to hit Earth will definitely cause destruction but seeing as our planet is mostly water, it may end up there. If it is a smaller asteroid I say let it hit cause even if it hits land the majority of damage will be on that continent. If you try to shoot it down you risk sending several smaller pieces hitting all parts of the Earth. If it is a really large asteroid, you want to shoot it as far from the Earth as possible so that it splits up and hopefully some of those still large pieces ends up missing the Earth completely. Of course some will still hit but a large asteroid hitting will surely spell extinction.

Also the Mayans never claimed the end of the world but then again, they couldn't know either way. Maybe being at the Galactic equater will trigger off a human ascension. However it doesn't change the fact that all lot of changes are occuring in 2012. Coincidence? Maybe. If you listen to the Universe maybe it has a story to tell. From what it sounds like, the Mayans believed we would enter a dark period before we are rejuvinated.
