Your numbers for EMEAA aren't accurate either as the 360s was out in Australia and New Zealand for some time already. You should look up those launch dates and add the numbers accordingly.

Correct

He will need to add some numbers to the EMEAA launch... Aus and NZ.

So 198 071 - 5338 (this week 360 numbers) = 192 733

8261 (nulbers for 3rd july, the launch in Aus and NZ) = 200 994

So the first week in EMEEA is 200 994

I guess... buit to make it simple just throw the first couple of weeks in... they are hardly big numbers.  then you can just report weekly numbers as normal from this week otherwise you will constantly be deducting and adding back in.

I'd report the first week as 212 (this week plus weeks ending 3rd and 10th for AUS/NZ - 14k) then just go from next week on.  its swings and roundabouts.

Sorry but why when you have the data you prefer en estimation ? If you don't believe me check the data by yourself. It took me less than one minute to check that. Sorry but if you want to be simple don't talk about australia & NZ.

I give you the answer previously, the true first week for EMEEA is 200 994 k.

i was trying to make the guys life easier... but whatever... its hardly life changing either way is it.

lighten up.

As you can see, it changes almost nothing to take into account the real date launch for Aus and NZ, since it adds only 3 k. So if you were trying to make the guys life easier, forget this.

But! 360 S had a better launch than PS3 Slim...

582,815 vs. 376,274 (don't say 'Its only been 2 days for EMEAA'. You think it's going to sell 200K in 3 days in order to make the launch look better?) taking into account opening weeks in all regions

Still, great numbers for the 360 S. Successful launch. What will be more interesting is when it gets back down to normal weekly numbers. Both systems will be $300. Both will have mandatory hard drives and wireless, so the feature count will be the same (minus Blu-Ray obviously). Finally, price parity with just about equal features. NOW we can TRULY see what people want more

Not really.

A 360s arcade will be coming, along with Kinect and Move.

I think it's extremely safe to say though that the 360 is more wanted in the UK and US, wheras worldwide as a whole, the PS3 is more wanted.

I don't think we can say the PS3 is more wanted worldwide as a whole.  In Japan, obviously.  But Europe as a whole is practically tied.  Had it not been for the 360's glaring hardware problems early on the gap there would likely be much bigger and still in the 360's favor.  EU always has more news coverage on failed electronics products than the Americas.

Also, I think it was a great launch week for the 360S considering it had no price cut with it, no month long time after the announcement to build up a good launch supply (all sold out first day), and only 2 days worth of sales in most of EMEAA.

That's a very one sided post. Europe prefers the PS3. Sure, RROD negatively impacted 360 sales, but you have to remember that despite the PS3 releasing at a ridiculous price that not many could afford, and releasing a year later, it has still sold more here.

There's no contest here.

And I could oppositely spin your last paragraph as well, but I too believe that the 360s has done well

Yes the ps3 is more popular... biut there is a contest

There's no contest that the PS3 is more wanted in Europe. That's not one sided, at all.

Looks like the PS3 will have a better first month then the 360.

In the UK... try to read the whole post next time and not just the parts you want to see...

LOL...you weren't in the thread where I said trumpeting success in one region to make it look better overall is moot when the competitor did better. I know it did better in the US and UK...only. Did I go a little bit overboard bringing it in here, sure. But facts are facts

For the record, whenever I reply to a thread, I ALWAYS read the entire post

updated OP also I didn't adjust the numbers for NZ and Australia because there's no way to know for sure how much the xbox slim did there first week

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

The ps3 slim also had a price cut didn't it?

If thats the case then the two numbers aren't really that comparable.
