The biggets seller drivers will be Wii Party and DKC Returns. I can't see any of the other titles pushing hardware.

Above: still the best game of the year.

I guess some are doubting that Metroid: Other M can surpass 3 million in sales. I wonder if Metroid Prime will sustain its place as the best selling Metroid game?

All of them are AAA

Check out the Official Eternal Hunters Thread

Are you guys saying Donkey Kong will push Wii's sales  because the game will sell near the 10 million mark or is there another reason it will push hardware besides selling a lot? If you guys are expecting it push systems because Donkey Kong has never been on consoles for a long time then I think you guys are overestimating its selling potential because most of these fans bought the Wii because of NSMB Wii. I think most of the people buying Donkey Kong (and Kirby) are the same people that already bought NSMB Wii.

I can't understand why one would want to buy the Wii for Donkey Kong or Kirby this year if they did not want to buy a Wii for NSMB Wii last year. These are probably long time gamers who are the minority.

That's an excellent point and I do agree (I think Wii Party will be the main driver) but don't forget the value statement this will make for old school gamers/former gamers who may not have been will to shell out $250 for Wii/NSMBW but now it's Wii/NSMBW, Kirby, DCKR and quite likely NBA Jam, Goldeneye.    It will prompt a lot of people to cave in a get a Wii for the nostalgic goodness who may have held out until now.

Because it pushed back in the SNES time?

If Black Wii in the Americas and EMEEA and Super Mario Galaxy 2 did nothing to bump hardware, I somehow doubt that any of these titles will in a significant manner. If anything, the game to actually make an impact on hardware will Zelda Wii imo, and that's not until 2011. This far into console cycles, it takes a lot more for games to have much of an effect on hardware sales.

DQX should bump Japan a bit too, though by then I suspect it may bump Wii 2's sales more.

Wii party will be a hit, I will also probably get other M, DKC and Goldeneye.
