wow! massive 360 sales.

I suppose this is pent-up demand. It went on sale in America pretty much just as soon as it was announced. Impressive still.

Wii and PS3 are close.

As I said in the PAL charts thread, Nintendo should make a Wii redesign. We don't need it but sales would explode surely, like it happened for PS3, xbox 360, DS and PS2 (no, it didn't work that well for PSP, at least not the last models).

Now I ask: will Kinect's launch be bigger than this week for X360?

Americas this week should be fun... Hope 360 dont fall down 100k.

i think yes because they will have Arcades on the market for ONLY 199$ plus with Kinect , Bundle with Reach , Fable 3 , CrackDown 2 and even Black ops...

In other news the Slim is totally sold out near me (NW London) so expect a massive dip next week !

Numbers released fast this week. I'm still amazed at how well Wii Sports Resort is selling. Week 52 and it sold 42,573 units, I think it has a shot at reaching 10 million in EMEAA.

Edit: Also Xbox 360 software didn't get a boost, so it can be assumed that the hardware sales are mostly from old owners buying new consoles.

Hmmm if I can recall it was 260k,not sure either.....

WoW, Red Dead is already at 5 million worldwide. Who knows where the ceiling is. R* could grow this franchise into the next GTA!
