i hve playd all th games u mentioned ther. I liked FFXIII more than all of them excpt FF7 and FF8.

i ws touched by th story. I cried when sazh almost killed vanille. I liked all chrcters except fang. I felt sad at oerba ws, a place wher tragedy took place, with the music.

u dont like it, fine. bt dont pretend to talk for all JRPG nerds, becaus ur not. 

FFXIII's average user rating is 8.5 on this site, so actully hardly any1 agree tht its the worst RPG, FFXII average user rating is 8.1, below it.

like i sed, its fine if u dnt like it, many don't. But don't pretend tht everyone else thinks its th worst rpg evr, because the majority like FFXIII (proof? user review averages on th net)

I dont know where people are getting this idea that Yochi Wada is responsible for the design choices in FF13. hes a buisness man, who manages Sqaure Enix, and imo he seems to be doing a good job, since Sakaguchi made the company go bust with the Spirits Within.

the key people responsible for the storyline about the psyco sister in law, are Kitase, who produced/directed FF6, 7, 8 & 10. the other person is Toriyama, who directed FF10-2. so these guys who worked on the previous games are the ones to blame.

and i've already said what i thought about the game. but i think that Kitase and Toriyama did fuck up with FF13. and something needs to be done to make sure it dosent happen again - hopefully Wada can do something about that!!

whtever kitase and toriyama did, they made me like the frnchise again aftr the FF12 team fucked up badly with FF12. 

lets hope ff versus xiii cn beat ff7/8 in quality.

Sorry buddy, sakaguchi is working on his last title for the Wii. Miracles like FFVII only happened when Sakaguchi, Nomura and Kitse all worked together. Sakaguchi alone is putting out competitive products which are better than final fantasy today. It's blindingly obvious where the true talent from those games came from. He made Kingdom Hearts and Vagrant Story great as well.

No people just don't like the game. FFXIII essentially strips away what made Final Fantasy great in the first place. 

THIS , is so easy to see all that was missing in FF13 that is obvious that if oyu liked it you werent speckting a FF game. FF13 Was an insult to the JRPG genrer. I sold most becuase of the hype and the fact that it was multiplat, if would have been a good game it would have reached GT like sells.

I don't think FF XIII was nearly as bad as some people here think it is, but at the same time it is no where near the quality of past FF games.

Sakaguchi produced ff7 and Kitase directed. Everything after that was Nomura.

You know i always wondered if Final Fantasy name wasn't attached to this game if it would generate this amount of hatred.Yeah it wasn't a OH GLORIOUS game in my eyes but it was still good. Then you have others who bash previous rpgs while comparing it to FF13 to defend square enix.

To be fair if it didn't have the Final Fantasy name it wouldn't have the fans of Final Fantasy buying it and having expectations of it, so you're more likely to have a smaller base that would buy it based on commercials, info, reviews and word of mouth because it sounds like something they'd like rather than buying it because they like the franchise.  So in short yes it would generate less hate, it would also have a smaller base with fewer sales, but by releasing this game under the FF title you actually hurt the pull of the name.

Honestly I think XIII is better than X but X was just bad, the battle system in XIII is worse, but everything else is better.  As a long time fan of the series I still went into FFXIII with zero expectations and so far it's forgettable.

I dunno man, i think square might consider trying to bring back sakaguchi, i mean FF hasnt been the same without him. i think if FF13 had his weight behind it, we would have a very different game.

and by the way the real talent behind vagrant story was yatsumi matuso, the world of Ivalice was his creation 10 years in the making since FF tactics and he partly directed FF12. imo FF12 couldve been better than FF6, 7, 8, 9, 10 etc - had matsuno not left. and my point is that i think that the FF12 team got a lot of it right, and kitase, nojima, & normua wasted a lot of the hard work that went into FF12 with FF13.

personally, i'm really hoping that sqaures FF12 team are in charge of the next one.

even if SE wanted him back they cant get him back, so they'd never even mention the desire to have him back. he has his own company now, i hope they never go bankrupt or anything, SE might try to buy them =S
