Square Enix Shells Out For Samurai Eleven Trademark

Square Enix might be dusting off Musashi. The publisher registered the rights to Samurai Eleven for use with video games in Japan. The Musashi series started with Brave Fencer Musashi on the PsOne, went dormant for awhile, and then Samurai Legend Musashi came out in 2005. Musashi: Samurai Eleven has a nice ring to it, but Samurai Eleven could work as a standalone title too.

In addition to Samurai Eleven, we found trademarks for Wheel of Fortune (two of those, actually) and strangely enough “Victory”. The victory trademark is mostly likely related to Dragon Quest Monsters Battle Road Victory, a Wii game which makes its debut this week. Still amusing to note because victory is a common word, which Square Enix now has the rights to in Japan. It’s like how Edge Games owns the word “edge” in North America, without any pending lawsuits.

*  Hell yea.. I loved Brave fenser Musashi on PS1. SE would score points in my bok for making anothere one.

Mussasshi on PS2 was crap.

Brave Fencer Mussasshi on PS1 rocked. One of teh best games for the console IMO

Awesome, but only if Nomura isn't allowed to do the character design this time. I don't think he's capable of making something as cool as Brave Fencer Musashi anymore.

Samurai Eleven was very mediocre but was enjoyable, but mediocre.

Brave Fencer Musashi was one of my Favorite PS1 games never heard of the other. Could be cool

I'm still butt hurt from the crappy PS2 game so I hope they are dusting down past that to the sheen of the original.

Musashi PS2 lacked the soul and spirit of the 1st... the game was just boring. I liked the Manga artsyle thats about it.

But the openeing video is hilarious..I have no idea why its just funny

stuff Musashi, give me a new Chrono game or seiken densetsu 3/soul blazer/illusion of time/terranigma/bahamut lagoon (for the West) for the Virtual console please
