Ok, can someone please explain to me what the problem was with KZ2's controls?  I mean, I'm not the best at FPS (definitely not the worse, either) and I had no problems with it at all.  I mean they did release the "High Precision" patch, which really only required you to move the analog stick a shorter distance for it to react.  I do usually play with it on, and have no complaints about any other controls.  Is it that people just want to be able to "glide" through a level, without it actually feeling like a human running?  Or is there something else?

they want to jump and do a 720 degree turn while doing it. (like MW2)

I think the change in the controls will defintly help KZ3 Reach the sales they were hoping for in KZ2.  Controls are a huge factor but they also need to offer more classes and more customization to the guns.  I hated how in KZ2 you coudn't customize your classes.

Exactly - Halo and CoD have made FPSs generic and boring.

Favourite game: Killzone 3

Slightly dissapointing in that the game actually dared to be different at a time when most big games/films are terrified of challenging their audience in any way, but hard to critisize as in the end it is just a game and it will no doubt have broader appeal with such controls.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

What do you mean by class customization? Do you mean like Call of Duty letting you make your weapon/ability loadouts from scratch versus other games like Killzone 2 restricting weapons/abilities availability based on  your class?

I suppose there's a case for either side, but in my opinion I've enjoyed playing Killzone 2, Team Fortress 2 and Battlefield games where your abilities/equipment selection are based on what class you are.

That isn't to say I don't like the starting from scratch side though. I think I like having a certain limit on it though like the weight limit for your equipment in MAG for example.

They can't use standard COD controls.

It won't work, because in KZ you shoot from the hip.

Sure, the controls can be sharpened up, but they can't be COD like without really changing the gameplay.
