I think the PS3 is getting their with sales.
I think the PS3 is getting their with sales.
PS3 and 360 seem to be in an endless seesaw effect with sales since they are so similar. When 360 was going strong, PS3 was struggling. Then when PS3 had its big slew of releases, price drop, and slim redesign, PS3 took off and 360 sales dwindled. Now the trends are beginning to reverse again with the advent of the slim 360. They are simply eating away at eachother's marketshare.
Wow great work Seece!
You've written '2001' rather than '2010' in some of the recent lines just so you know/can fix it when you get a mo.
But really useful thread, thank you. The colour blocks are especially good.

Since PS3 released, it's sold an extra 240k according to this chart, it says on launch 360 was ahead 5,260,000.

Unless the figures have been adjusted in anyway, the PS3 has sold only 230k more than the 360 since it was released, so no I wouldn't say it's bumps are much bigger going by that.
nice thread seece :D i don't think i would have the patience for this either lol

Wow I didn't realize they were that close if you take away the year headstart, interesting.. So basically the two consoles would be at a near tie if they launched at the same time. MS has to feel glad that they released their console a year before Sony, as it's almost singlehandedly the reason it remains a significant amount in 2nd place ahead of them.
