I'm impressed with Wii sales in Europe, really something else.

I think a lot of people underestimated the PS3's first christmas in Europe, it is going to have a really good christmas, around 900k.

Just ignore Carlos, Bladeneo.

Awful? By being 2nd place, behind the DS and the Wii which have both had sustained mass demand in Europe all year? And its not THAT far behind the wii entering the holiday period.

Oh sorry, we're not allowed to say anyone is doing well other than nintendo i forgot. Here, have your sweetie and go play outside so you dont hear the horrible words.

Oh sweet jesus give it a rest. I'm really tired of this "quit picking on me" attitude. Just make your points and leave it at that, this melodramatic BS is trying my patience.

And it is particularly annoying since I actually agree with you. People should recognize that the PS3 is doing better. And it shouldn't be ignored just because the DS and Wii are doing great. But it also is true that this is the holidays and we have no idea if this will persist into the normal part of the year which is what would make this a truly great improvement and not just another temporary boost like has happened so many times before.

Im fine with making my points. when my points are then knocked down as not meaning anything because "nintendo owns europe", I get a bit annoyed. So, when I have to then reiterate my points 10 times, it starts to turn from annoying to downright stupid.

The ps3 costs more than the wii. If it would be the same price we would be talking about a different story.

Fail. If the ps3 had wings and an engine it would fly. But it doesnt. :p

My prediction for YEARS END:

WII - 18.3 Million

Xbox 360 - 15 Million

Playstation 3 - 8.5 Million

PS3 is 400/500 euro/dollar (not a pricepoint that appeals to the mass market)

Wii is 250 euro/dollar (a pricepoint that does appeal to the mass market)

...the only conclusion is that the Wii SHOULD be selling better than the PS3 because of that, that doesn't mean the PS3 isn't selling well. I'd say the Wii sells great, so does the PS3. The Xbox 360 is cheaper than the PS3 so it should sell more but it doesn't. So the Xbox 360 isn't selling well in Europe.

carlos is talking bullshit actually. Even I can agree that the PS3 is doing (relatively) great, outselling the 360 3:2 with far less software is great in my books. MS really seems to have an image problem in non-english-speaking countries. On the other hand, Sony seems to have a problem in the USA, so the race for second place might be interesting for a very long time.
But I think that Microsoft needs to get better sales in europe to be ahead of the PS3 in the long run, selling clearly better in two out of three major reasons should be enough to maintain good third-party support, and that could lead to a smaller gap in the USA.

On another note, leo-j is funny as always and Nintendo just had another great week.

You wouldn't repeat yourself 10 times for a complete stranger on the street so don't do it on the internet.  If people are too dense to read the thread its their loss.  As I said state your points and move on....like I'm about to do...

ps3=xbox360 price

The Xbox 360 is 280/350 euro....that's not the same as 400/500 euro. The Xbox 360 has more, and better, games so it should sell more units than de PS3 but it doesn't.
