I wouldn't say Sony is looking "good". Nintendo is just dominating in Europe.

Europe belongs to Nintendo.

Id say Sony is looking good. The 360 is their competitor, the wii is pretty much a different market.

So the DS its outselling the PSP 5:1 and Sony is looking "good".

Nice.

Okay, lets take a look at this picture 6 months ago and see the PS3 barely pushing 30,000 units. Id say theyre looking good considering how horrific this year has been for them.

Honestly, start a thread NOT proclaiming how the Wii or DS are ruling the world and someone comes along manages to turn it into that.

6 months ago it was closer than right now in Europe.

So i'm not sure how you can argue that sony "is doing good"

How was it closer? In terms of the 3 main consoles, the PS3 was barely moving, every Wii available was bought, and the 360 was beating the PS3 out, but not by alot.

How can 360 be behind when its cheaper and have big games like Mass Effect, Halo 3 and got the better versions on multiplattform games. Ratchet and Clank is only the good game in Europe now for PS3 dont even know when uncharted is released.

The wii surprised me a bit with this 40% increase actually. I was expecting around 10% increase so I am very happy with its performance so far as well.

There is an article in today's London paper about Nintendo sending planes from Japan to the UK filled with Wiis to try and meet the christmas demand.  That might be part of the reason for the jump as they are diverting supplies from Japan where the Wii is failing to sell out.  It has basically been sold out in the UK for virtually the whole year.

Uncharted is out on the 7th I think, or was last time i checked (UK). It makes no sense for the 360 to be behind. The PS3 has R&C, but Assassins creed and COD4 were both well done multi platform games for both consoles.

We can safely say the ps3 is going to win this week against the 360. If slales continue on the rise I might think it can get to 9 million.

:S

The wii was selling like 50k over the ps3. Now the Wii is higher. So yes, it was closer  6 months ago.

Besides the DS alone is outselling the "sony family" in Europe.

Sony is doing awful actually.

Theres a good chance it'll win this week; not definately though. It all depends on the states. The PS3 should see about 40-50,000 extra sold in japan, so the 360 would theoretically need to beat the PS3 by 100,000 units. It did last week, but obviously black friday affected that. Will be close.
