Its an interesting time. The Xbox 360 is selling very well and thats without any price reductions on the new revision model or the introduction of the full range as the revision Arcade is nowhere to be seen and without even Others sales being taken into consideration.

Microsoft has a lot of options in the coming 5 months in terms of console, Kinect prices and bundles. The fact they are holding their cards close to their chest reminds me of 2008 when they did the same. Whether its true or not, I suspect Microsoft believes themselves to have an advantage so therefore they do not want to let slip their overall strategy too soon.

It was targeted at people like "Reach". Fact is, 360 Arcades are dirt cheap now...and has caused massive sales spikes along with the 360S.

And when you said "2010 - Arcade is still $199", you are surely talking about the current Arcade model, obviously.

Because, 

a) An arcade slim hasn't been confirmed yet

b) you used present tense. If you said "the arcade slim will be $199" then there wouldn't have been a problem.

God of War III sales are awesome.  It'll hit 3 million before Xmas and get a nice boost then. Then another when it goes Greatest Hits. 4.5-5 million million easy.

A man who shares my enthusiasm for GoW sales.

And I agree...3 million within this year easily. Best selling GoW ever ?

I still remember a lot of people saying it'll be lucky to hit 2.5 million, including certain admins who used to run Prediction Leagues.

That the 360 is most definitely not $199 right now.

Ok, I think everyone knows that, the upcoming one is officially $199 though, don't expect it to stay at that price for long though, if at all!

the 360 slim sold 7k hardware in Japan

that's terrible!!

MS should just give up in Japan already, it's not worth it over there.

 Just focus on NA and Others regions, instead of Japan

 

The PS3 slim sold 150k in the first week in Japan alone, when it released....

Of course the PS3 slim had a price cut at the same time though.....

360 is having a clearance at 150$.. thats cheaper DS PSP etc etc
