Who knows how many new models/designs of 3DS there will be. |
I shall assume you meant older for the bolded.
OT: Can you post any games that support these criteria?
I still believe the older models of the DS had a Mic and a Touch Screen.
Don't come here to troll considering the fact that, excluding DSiWare, damn near all of the software library is functional across all existing models.
That does not exclude the sales of any SKUs. The only major change was the DSi which added many features but still kept the same exact library. It's akin to firmware updates.

That's pretty bad reasoning.
How many do that, a dozen?
You want to discount many dozens of millions of sales for maybe a dozen games?
Do you honestly think the SKUs that share literally hundreds of games should be counted separately even though their hardware is virtually the same?
It's as if you're discounting some Wii games from software sales because they use Wii Motion Plus.

Out of fairness, I own 2 of them myself. Metroid Prime Pinball came with a DS Rumble Pack which went in the GBA slot. A few other games supported this, but I don't remember them. Then we have Daigasso Band Brothers. There was a GBA expansion cart for that game which can not be played on the DSi. Of course, there are also a few other things that really end up as moot, like the original DS browser and RAM cart, replaced by the DSi's browser. There may not be a lot, but the fact remains that there are some out there, and the people who own them aren't overly happy about it.

I argued this the other day, actually. Because we do count the different models of PSP, Wii, PS3, PS2, 360, Xbox,, and DS as one singular unit, we must also count multiplatform games as one single unit of sales per that game. You can't have it both ways. If MW2 is the fastest selling game of all time, then all of the DS units count as one unit for combined sales.
Adding a clock, imo, does not a new product make.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

I don't see how 3DS would be in a "red ocean". It's the only handheld that will use 3D without glasses, not to mention have a touch screen and motion controls (I don't really count the Iphone as a competitor to DS). Another PSP might come out, but it looks unlikely that it will be out anytime soon. So essentially DS will be alone in the handheld market, and with a very strong lineup of 1st and 3rd party games.
Let's not forget that Nintendo's business strategy of late has always been to venture out to new markets.. Who's to say they can't do this again with 3DS? If things do get too crowded within the red ocean with 3DS, which is unlikely, all Nintendo has to is find another blue ocean with more expanded audience software.
I believe so.
Once word of mouth starts going off that the 3DS is just crazy and creates 3D effects without glasses, kids are just gonna nag their parents for 3DS and they'll see that the 3DS is worhty of buying and not only amongts kids, but adults as well will be impressed by such device and buy 3DS' for themselves.
3DS literally is the next big thing in gaming.
3DS is the future not Kinect...
