You missed the point completely.
I state that one game was a landmark on the system it got out on (the original PS vesion) while an other was the most technically advanced game on an other. Illustrating how in the eyes of different people, those 2 games can be viewed similarly (as visually stunning in their own right).
Now if you read anything I've wrote so far, never did I mention which one I think is the most visually stunning. ^_-
So, keep your BS coming.

Eurgh this is my last reply to this, now if you read anything i'd said, I never said you mentioned which one you thought was more visually stunning, I quoted when you said RE 4 is basically the most advanced game on the system it came out on.
you never answered any of my points either such as when you said
"I think people have the right to think what game looks better, no matter what their criterias or experience with the series are"
how can you judge which one is better unless you have tried both of them?
ill answer your points when you answer mine, of course it matters what their expirience of the series are and you know it

You keep on missing the point over and over again.
But first, here is what you said:

Let me just translate what you just said..... I think that resident evil 4 is the most advanced, and my opinion is obviously better than yours phinch, who stupidly believes REmake is better which is dissagreing with my opinion... now whos being a hypocrit?
who cares if the back grounds are pre rendered, the poll wasnt which was the most advanced games on the system it came out on, it was which resident evil was visually stunning!

I already explained to you that you were wrong. I never once said that my opinion was better than yours and certainly never said you were stupid, even if you seem to obstinately try to make me say it.
I illustrated that people can have different way to see this topic. Some can think a game with a more robust graphics engine, using full polygonal graphics, instead of pre-rendered backgrounds is going to look more impressive to their eyes. I never once said that REmake isn't a stunning game, nor did I ever said which game I think was the most visually stunning of them all.
But you went on trying to take my examples, how I illustrated how people can view things differently, and tried to turn me into the hypocrite here. Basically trying to use mirror projection at me, since your ego can't seem to grasp the fact that it isn't alone on this big mass of dirt that is the earth. You tried to twist what I said, to make it look like I was belitteling your opinion. You just don't get the memo, no matter how clear it is addressed to you.
Clearer clear memo: The world doesn't revolve around you.
Memo Annexes:
1- People will come at you with diverging opinions.
2- Those opinions will be formed by criterias that may or may not be the same as yours.
3- Your opinion isn't worth more than theirs.
Now on to the second point:
"I think people have the right to think what game looks better, no matter what their criterias or experience with the series are"
Notice how I don't mention anything about them not having played this or that game. What I meant there, and you could have understood it yourself if you were not so narrow minded and self-centered, is that players who grew with the series from the first game and did all of them in order of release won't have the same kind of experience as someone who came into the series much later and started with titles that made the visuals of the older titles look outdated.
Someone who played the very first game in 1996 won't have had the same experience as someone who played the exact same game in 2002. For its time the first game was groundbreaking. Not so in 2002.
Do you need more illustrations, or can you start thinking outside the box by yourself?
EDIT: Even if people didn't play this or that game, is it such a big deal if they think that out of all the games they played, the game they thought looked the best isn't the one you think deserves the mention?
Is it really that big a deal?
