Obviously RE 5.

The Wii isn't capable of handling the title screen, or so I've been told.

i know your being sarcastic , but RE5 looks like dogshit...... in HD.

Can't believe how many people are voting for 4 being "visually stunning" when the remake was release 3 years before and looked way better as in graphics and artisticly, just shows how many people follow the crowd and don't think for themselves

Allow me to translate what you wrote:

"I can't believe there are people in the world who think differently as I do!  Since they don't think the same as I do, it just shows that they're being sheeps and have no brains!"

I think people have the right to think what game looks better, no matter what their criterias or experience with the series are.

thats like going to a tasteing food contest and ariving late and basing the winner on the only one you've tried without tasting the others, you can't base a winner unless you've tried them all, becuase its friggin obvious wihch one is "visually stunning"  and which one isnt as good

Is it?  It is obvious for you that REmake is more visually stunning than RE 4, so anyone should think like you do?

The fact that you don't mention the very first version of the game for the PS1 seems to indicate that you're being a hypocrite here.

After all , for it's time RE was a big step forward compared to what had come before.  Yet unlike RE PS1,  RE 4 is basically the most advanced game on the system it came out on.

Then you can factor in the fact that some people will prefer full 3D graphics over pre-rendered backgrounds like in REmake.

After all is said and done, I don't think you know if everyone who votes for 4 haven't played the older games first.

You're free to have your own opinion.  Can you let others share theirs now, without the need to act butthurt over such a trivial poll

Let me just translate what you just said..... I think that resident evil 4 is the most advanced, and my opinion is obviously better than yours phinch, who stupidly believes REmake is better which is dissagreing with my opinion... now whos being a hypocrit?

who cares if the back grounds are pre rendered, the poll wasnt which was the most advanced games on the system it came out on, it was which resident evil was visually stunning!

You completely missed the point.

I state that one game was a landmark on the system it got out on (the original PS version) while an other game was the most technically advanced game on its respective console (Gamecube's RE 4).  Illustrating how in the eyes of different people, those 2 games can be viewed as the most visually stunning in their own right.

Now if you read anything I've wrote so far, never did I mention which one I think was the most visually stunning. ^_-

So, keep your BS coming.  It's actually kind of entertaining.

Eurgh this is my last reply to this, now if you read anything i'd said, I never said you mentioned which one you thought was more visually stunning, I quoted when you said RE 4 is basically the most advanced game on the system it came out on.

you never answered any of my points either such as when you said

"I think people have the right to think what game looks better, no matter what their criterias or experience with the series are"

how can you judge which one is better unless you have tried both of them?

ill answer your points when you answer mine, of course it matters what their expirience of the series are and you know it

RE4, one of the most visually stunning games of the entire generation. RE5 is a nice looking game but it's already been passed visually by other games of this generation. When RE4 released on Gamecube, the PS2 version didn't come close to the GC original visually, people were trying to figure to how they Capcom managed to pull of the game with 3D environments.

You keep on missing the point over and over again.

But first, here is what you said:

who cares if the back grounds are pre rendered, the poll wasnt which was the most advanced games on the system it came out on, it was which resident evil was visually stunning!

I already explained to you that you were wrong.  I never once said that my opinion was better than yours and certainly never said you were stupid, even if you seem to obstinately try to make me say it.

I illustrated that people can have different way to see this topic.  Some can think a game with a more robust graphics engine, using full polygonal graphics, instead of pre-rendered backgrounds is going to look more impressive to their eyes.  I never once said that REmake isn't a stunning game, nor did I ever said which game I think was the most visually stunning of them all.

But you went on trying to take my examples, how I illustrated how people can view things differently, and tried to turn me into the hypocrite here.  Basically trying to use mirror projection at me, since your ego can't seem to grasp the fact that it isn't alone on this big mass of dirt that is the earth.  You tried to twist what I said, to make it look like I was belitteling your opinion.  You just don't get the memo, no matter how clear it is addressed to you.

Clearer clear memo:  The world doesn't revolve around you.

Memo Annexes:

1- People will come at you with diverging opinions.

2- Those opinions will be formed by criterias that may or may not be the same as yours.

3- Your opinion isn't worth more than theirs.

Now on to the second point:

"I think people have the right to think what game looks better, no matter what their criterias or experience with the series are"

Notice how I don't mention anything about them not having played this or that game.  What I meant there, and you could have understood it yourself if you were not so narrow minded and self-centered, is that players who grew with the series from the first game and did all of them in order of release won't have the same kind of experience as someone who came into the series much later and started with titles that made the visuals of the older titles look outdated.

Someone who played the very first game in 1996 won't have had the same experience as someone who played the exact same game in 2002.  For its time the first game was groundbreaking.  Not so in 2002.

Do you need more illustrations, or can you start thinking outside the box by yourself?

EDIT: Even if people didn't play this or that game, is it such a big deal if they think that out of all the games they played, the game they thought looked the best isn't the one you think deserves the mention?

Is it really that big a deal?

Funny how you didnt reply to it straight away just to set the record straight..  I took someones expirience to the series as what they have and what they have not played, infact that could have been taken a number of ways,  why didn you not just add the part

"Someone who played the very first game in 1996 won't have had the same experience as someone who played the exact same game in 2002.  For its time the first game was groundbreaking.  Not so in 2002"

and not half ass explain things and leaving what you say open to take in different ways

^^,

That's cute.

I was clear enough in my first comment addressed to you.  You just got nuthurt in front of the truth and your ego didn't let you take it in like a man.

You basically didn't grasp the fact that people's opinions are going to be formed with different criterias than yours and asked me to explain all that to you.  Seriously.  Aren't you old enough to already know that?

Continually insinuating that people haven't played this or that game or calling them sheeps who can't think for themselves just because they don't view things like you do  is incredibly childish.  Especially when it revolve around a meaningless poll like this one.

Still if you'd have worded what you actually meant, we wouldn't be discussing this now.... I may have even agreed with you and I believe the word your looking for is butt hurt not Nut hurt, unless you know something about me I don't?

Oh and Being patronising is incredibly childish too.

^^,

Take the last word. :D

It was fun while it lasted.

On Topic: I'm gonna go with a new choice.  Because for its time, it blew me away.

Resident Evil: Code Veronica on Dreamcast.

But among the choices available, I would go with REmake. ^_-

The first game has always been my favorite, and seeing it being treated with such care on the Cube, basically surpassing the original version by a mile, and not just because of the graphics, was a real treat for every fans of the series (most of them at least, since there are always a vocal minority who hates on any kind of changes or differences).
