how do you make friends racing.....
I don't know for you, but Mario Kart is as strong as ever. With 22 million games sold worldwide (and the 19 million from the DS), this is one of the biggest racing game ever, with Gran Turismo following in second. GT is pretty big too.
I think the industry lacks BIG racing games. I mean, there weren't that much hype around Blur and all Need For Speed spinoffs. They just lack polishing like they used to have before, unlike Mario Kart and Gran Turismo.
One problem with bring weapons into a racing game is it take away from the actually racing part. Mario Kart is all I ever want to play with "shooter" racers as these games tend to punish the leader too much.

Now you are just trollololing. You know that, right?

I don't think they were waiting for NFS, they may be now but not until E3 and even then with the lack of info, not many could be waiting (but I know I am :P)

Games like GT are for car junkies who want a super real experience which to myself is just too difficult. Most people I know that own(or have owned, I only know one PS owner this gen compared to like 50 PS2 owners) GT games will attempt to play them and show them off cause they look good but they cant play for shit and never actually play. Its amazing that GT sells so well(though it is the definitive driving sim) cause I dont know a single gamer that wants to take the time to learn to drive a car at 120 miles an hour. All that is really needed is a GT and a Forza as far as sims go cause everything else is probably lesser and not worth the money. |
I actually like Test Drive more than either of those...
