Forums - Gaming - (Lulz) Kotaku's Best E3 games

The only bad choices were Dance Central.... I don't know why it's receiving early praise from the gaming industry.

...Because everyone is making up for misjuding Just Dance, lol. Seriously, do you realize that Just Dance, NOT DDR, has revitalized the dance genre?

The Interweb is about overreaction, this is what makes it great!

...Imagine how boring the interweb would be if everyone thought logically?

I'm betting that none of the Kotaku guys can dance, worth shit, and feel overtly excited at the idea that they can dance remotely well through these fake dancing simulator games. It makes them feel so good about themselves that they can't help but be excited for them.

zelda fanboy rage! RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

I kidd ^_^

The list begs the obvious question:

1. Is Kotaku along with other gaming sites namely Gamespot and IGN being paid with cash or insider information by the industry (Microsoft in this case) to post blog posts favorable to their upcoming Kinect?

I have suspected this, but cannot confirm it 100%, with Gamespot where they gave Modern Warfare 2 a 9.0 knowing full well that Modern Warfare 2 did not have a a public beta for multiplayer even though it is bought for the online multiplayer.

Good for the industry. Bashing Just Dance and now praising Dance central doesnt make anyone look like a prejudiced hypocrite.

Its been a REALLY WEIRD reaction to E3 lately. Take for example the Bonus Round opinions on best of E3. They picked Dance Central aswell, and this is AFTER we all knew, and they agreed on the tuesday,  that Nintendo had already clearly won E3.

If MS isn't buying publicity at Kotaku and GT, i dk whats happening.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

O_o What's Dance Central? Wait... is that the game that was shown by a guy dancing like a chicken at microsofts press conference?

THAT won best new game ?!

well, it was proven you don't need to be a good dancer to play it!

...and the game won't make you one either

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

I know, right? Remember how they bashed Haze and now love Call of Duty? It's like they don't even know that all games in the same genre deserve equal praise.

So. Why the "Lulz"?

Because someone has actually made a good/great Dance game?

WoW conspiracy here.

So a good dancing game that actually works is getting some love from the industry and all you guys can do is to talk nonsense that MS paid them? Look what Just Dance did saleswise. I think if Kinect is a success Dance Central can do the same or even better, just because Kinect seems to work out well for Dance games.

I won't buy this, but I can see a lot of people buying this.

There is no Halo, Fable or Gears of War on that list. So I doubt MS paid anything.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

MS ain't pushing the 3rd game in storied series. Gears of War 3 and Fable 3 will not sell hardware to the extent that a critically praised Kinect game will. Either that or Kotaku is very prescient and starting the Dance Central bandwagon.

My mind can twist this one million ways 'till Sunday.
