no just that i am married with 2 kids and one on the way and the wya the housing market is right now and everything else spending 800-1000 isnt feasable and not worth spending that on a machine to play videogames. besides my house payment costs less then 900. i just wanna know where everyone stands that owns either of those two machines. |
If money is that tight for you how can you afford to have another kid? |
Budgeting. I have two children and they are our priorities. I got my Wii, HD DVD players and other goodies by profits from my small iPod biz. Otherwise, I could still do it, but you have to take money from other spots. Yeah, he could do it - the PS3 and 360 aren't recurring expenses, but milk money and Pampers are. |
this is exactly what we are doing i did not say anything bout working at mcdonalds at all. i work in a factory making good money and yes it may be tight but there are things like tax breaks that help to afford kids. if everyone is getting mad at my question take a look at the answers. i was curious if what i actually thought was the norm of the guys i work with was the same with everyone else even on this site is true and guess what if u read the posts u see a trend here from what i asked.
@ckmlb yes u are right hat was why i asked the question not to ruffle the fanboys feathers. but apparently alot cant just answer the question without throwing out "ur just a wii fanboy go way" rant.
one last thing i own a pc which needs upgrading and usually the time i get my stuff is usually at tax time. i have no need for an hdtv cause my tv's i own now r just fine. so no need for any high def movie player either. now if u are one of the guys that are like im offended by that question then go back and read all the answers. you will find that most wii owners are usually married with kids which take time and money on the other hand u have the ones that are not im sorry to imply the whole basement thing but after several months of reading all these "wii bashing" posts by opposing fanboys a guy/gal can get irritated and come to conclusions easily by the way they act towards everyone. just to let everyone here know i have played both the 360 and ps3 before i made my decision on the wii.
the reasons for buying it was these reasons
1. 250 dollars not 400+ for the good models either.
2. pack in game - that helps cause u dont have to spend the extra 50-120 dollars for extra games right away.
3. controls. - easy to pick u[ and play and my kids can even learn easily how to play.
so thats it
hawk and madskills grats and i thikn u guys understand what im trying to get others to understand that there are alot of different demographics to each system and dependng on the lifestyle is also the indication of sales of each console. this topic wasnt to degrade anyone just to get a point out there to look at urself and where you are at in life and that there is much much much more then just consoles and videogames.
