I thought Sony recently confirmed that, when cross-chat finally comes, it'll be a regular PSN feature rather than a PSN Plus feature...

About 34M people, thats why offering it is smart,  plus with the sequel coming out the original may see a spike in sales,  this is a good deal.

Thats seems to be what they are hinting at.  The only feature I am really interested in lately is the cloud saving

The damn Europeans getting the better PSN PLUS, oh well cheers mates this is your benefit for spending about 20 dollars more per game than us Americans. 

On topic I will be getting PSN Plus because it will be well worth the money.

Who else thinks that PSN Plus should include a free Monthly PSP game on top of the Mini's 

I believe games on discount you buy you keep.  Games which you get free with the service you have access to, so long as you subscribe to the service.

Well, one hopes so, because if it is the other way, it is Sony's way to morph PSN into being XBL.

Better PSN Plus? We get a free copy of a year and a half old game, a free copy of a year and a half old downloadable game, trials of two PSN exclusives that nobody likes, two very good PSP Minis, a PSOne game, some themes and avatars and some pointless discounts.

All I don't own in the first month's content is Fieldrunners, Destruction Derby (PS1), one hour trials for Shatter and Savage Moon (neither of which I have the slightest interest in), the themes and avatars, and the KZ2 DLC (I never even play KZ2).

Hardly worth the money.
