Please help me pick a Wii game for me to buy because I need a Wii game for the Summer. I want the game to be different and unique and something I would like. I would also like it more if it had a lot of content or was long to last awhile. Below is a list of some of my favorite games of all time:

Pikmin and Pikmin 2

Animal Crossing and Animal Crossing City Folk

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Resident Evil 1,2, and 3

Paper Mario and Super Paper Mario

Donkey Kong 64

Banjo-Kazooie

Hmm based on this list, I would reccomend:

Little King's Story - a lot like Pikmin, and has a ton of content. Took me around 37 hours to beat, and you unlock new stuff after you beat the game

Dawn of Discovery  - Great RTS/god game on Wii. A ton of replay value.

Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 - If I had to pick I would chose 2, but they are both really fun 3D platformers. They could both last you a long time if you go for all 120 stars plus the extra stars.

RE4 - If you haven't played the Cube/PS2 version at least. Controls are perfect for this game. Has all the extra content the PS2 version has.

its a fantastic on-rails shooter that is both gorgeous and terrifying. it awesome

i'd say Little King's Story since it borrows elements from both Pikmin and Animal Crossing.

then Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom since is the best fighter on wii next to SSBB (if you own a Classic Controller you could also check Guilty Gear XX Accent Core/plus, one of my favourite fighters ever. JUST. DON'T. PLAY. IT. WITH. THE. WIIMOTE.)

as for horror games you should try Cursed Mountain. it's a game that passed under the radar of many gamers, but since you like old-style re you would probably like this one. It's also build on uncommon theme like buddhism/tibetan religion (their darker sides), has a very original setting and is an original take on a saturated genre. I also Recommend you Silent Hill: Shattered Memories since its one of the best experiences i had this generation. very eerie and with a really good storyline and psichological aspects, it touches mature themes like loss, grief, familiar love, alchoholism and others. Another recomendation is Fragile Dreams. it's like the bastard child of a Jrpg and a Re-style survival horror (inventary and save sistem are taken from old RE), with anime chara design. its a really beautiful and emotional game.

as for platforms, I assume you already own all the marios so i'll go with other games:

de Blob: very fun and original. colorful game with intuitive gameplay and really great soundtrack.

Mushroom Men: quirky design and gameplay that reminds of N64 platforms. this one could be right for you. It's only a little bit short.

Monster Hunter Tri, will keep you busy all Summer long!

You should definitely try finding a copy of Okami. It's a very long game, so it should last you the whole summer ^___^. 

If you liked Pikmin, you'll love Little King's Story.

IMO it's the best 3rd party title on the Wii
