Forums - Nintendo - I figured out why the Wii doesn't get better third party support

I knew I was forgetting something, that was the word I was looking for. I used the word cheapness as a substitute and a bad one at that...

Thanks for correcting me, LordTNKnight!

Anyone who blames Wii gamers rather than the developers for the lack of 3rd party sales on the Wii is an idiot, period. Sorry if I'm being blunt but I'm just sick of people making Nintendo/Wii fans feel bad for not supporting crappy games. The fact that anyone can look at the offerings from 3rd parties on Wii and think that most of these games deserve sales, boggles my mind.

The developers are a BUSINESS. They are here to serve US, not the other way around. You want good sales? Make good games. I am done feeling sorry for 3rd parties on Wii. If they cannot understand how to market to the massive Wii userbase by now and make a game that does not insult their intelligence, they don't deserve success on the console.

I have only seen  a few (quite literally) Wii 3rd party games that truly deserve great sales thus far: Monster Hunter Tri, Resident Evil 4, and Little King's Story. 2 out of those 3 HAVE gotten great sales, and the 3rd, LKS, has gotten respectable sales for a new IP from a relatively small developer.
