TOTALLY AGREE!

Its a pretty desent list, I wouldn't have included Fantastic Mr. Fox, but I completely agree that Beauty and The Beast is number 1!

Afro Samurai beats almost everything on this list

I assume number 26 would have been 1986's Transformers: The Movie.  Optimus Prime died, for Pete's sake!

That's a perfect example: as mai said, every top ten list is limited by the author's experience. My "Top Ten Numbers From 1-10 Listed From Least to Greatest" would include pi, e, the square root of 2, the square root of 3, phi and I'm sure that a lot of people that knows numbers better than me (and you) would agree. I'm equally sure that a lot of people who knows animated films better than IGN would trash this list.

I must say that the lack of Mulan, Monster Inc, Shrek(the first one the others were crap) and Howls Moving Castle(WAY better than Spirited Away) are heartbroking

PD: I loved Alladin but it wouldnt be in my top 25

PD2: My favorite movie is other but I can agree on the beauty and the beast(Disney on the 90's were soooooooo good)

Ghost in the Shell not being #1 and the underrepresentation of Japanese movies means it's a fail list to me

Classic disney movies should block out the top 10.

This is a pretty lame list, if only because they picked from so few sources.  It's not an interesting selection, and it doesn't seem to click with very many people as the right order for the movies it has chosen...  which are really the two things a ranked list like this can do well.

South Park and The Little Mermaid better than Spirited Away.

...

... And let's not forget how the list doesn't even include like a billion other animated films that could easily be considered one of the finest of all time.

The sheer blandness of this list makes me sad. I'm going to my corner and choke more puppies now.
