Forums - General Discussion - IGN: Top 25 Animated Movies of All-Time (?)

http://movies.ign.com/articles/650/650717p1.html

Go to the link if you want to read the blah blah.

And #1....!

Beauty and the Beast! >.> (Sorry for the confusion!)

Awesome first choice but no Shrek/Shrek 2 is showing IGNorance.

Also, The Lion King is kind of low.

The Little Mermaid? But no Aladdin?

The Iron Giant is kind of high.

But in general the list is quite good if you don't look at the order they ranked them.

And Wall-E and Up are too high imo.

And what about Bambi? Dumbo?!

Wild ordering.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Wall E needs to be first..it's a masterpiece. UP is a bit too high.

Good to see Iron Giant got some love. I enjoyed that movie when I was younger. But the list IMO isn't that good.

Around the Network

Akira = #1

The Incredibles = Never understood people's hard-ons for that movie

Iron Giant #5 = 8========D

Kung fu panda #1 = GTFO

Decent list, but Kung Fu Panda?

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

No Laputa: Castle in the Sky?!!! ....

This is an extremely difficult one, if you include all animations you are including the absolutely massive list of anime against mostly disney and pixar.  They are so different from each other I don't know how you compare them.  Even Miyazaki's gems while kid friendly are completely different.  This list is far too heavy loaded with recent movies, where is Aladdin?  Where is Shrek?  Why South Park?

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

Err, no Shinkai films?  The ordering seems almost random, and I'd probably replace Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon with Japanese movies (probably 5 Centimeters Per Second and probably another Ghibli movie like Grave of the Fireflies or Howl's Moving Castle).

Edit: Johnsobas has pointed out the lack of Aladdin.  That, too, is very unacceptable.
