they said gold edition would be move compatable, does that mean that my original version is useless with move?

Yes, unless they release a patch.

They would have to, the majority of it's sales were on the original version...it would be dumb not to. They should do a patch for KZ2 and R2.

Nice input. However, it would be better if they compared apples to apples in relation to the Wiimote. Noone would argue that Move's fidelity is noticeably better than the Wiimote alone, however, it really should include the addition of WMplus.

Basically if he compared the Move's sport games to that of WiiSportsResort, it would be an entirely diffferent article with the two probably being essentially the same. Then it just become preference to visual layout.

To me, in the end its basically a choice in value and based on the fact that a 2person Move setup is dramatically more expensive than a 2 person Wii setup for essentially the same motion experience, Wii wins.

So the real selling difference is the same one that has always existed. The overall game and usability choices as compared to their repsective prices. I think the last few years has proven, Wii wins again.

However, I am glad I own both (Wii/PS3) and RE5 and other shooter experience *may* convince me to spend the $$. But, a $200 price to add 2player move to my PS3 is just ... wow.

The problem with comparing it to Wii Motion Plus, IMO, is the lack of games that actually USE Wii Motion Plus thus far.

The vast majority of games using motion control on Wii don't require/use WM at all. Whereas every game on PS Move will have the "1:1" accuracy that the controller brings out of the box.

Very true. However, the games that haven't used WMPlus (since it lauched) didn't really need that fidelity or gain any recongnizable difference from its use. So, its a mute point.

However, as time has gone by, games that could benefit from its use have incorporated it successfully. Also, keep in mind as these casual Move games release, if they use the 1:1, the Wii version will as well. (This is stemming from my hunch that there will be a ton of games ported back and forth)

Finally, in the end a far larger % of Wii owners will have WMPlus than PS3 owners with Move. So, it really comes back to, "Wii wins".

To me, adding motion this late in the game was stupid for MS and Sony, unless they are considering it more of a test of concepts than real competition. Next gen will interest me far more to see what each company does. Only up to 2years away to find out.

Only thing stated so far is they'll offer a patch for the Gold edition. I wouldn't expect one for the non-Gold.

Not saying it makes sense, but that's what I've read and heard so far.

Sony should have ditched that Sports Champions game and thrown in the PS Eye for that $99.99 bundle. They want to much as well.
