The problem with comparing it to Wii Motion Plus, IMO, is the lack of games that actually USE Wii Motion Plus thus far. The vast majority of games using motion control on Wii don't require/use WM at all. Whereas every game on PS Move will have the "1:1" accuracy that the controller brings out of the box. |
Very true. However, the games that haven't used WMPlus (since it lauched) didn't really need that fidelity or gain any recongnizable difference from its use. So, its a mute point.
However, as time has gone by, games that could benefit from its use have incorporated it successfully. Also, keep in mind as these casual Move games release, if they use the 1:1, the Wii version will as well. (This is stemming from my hunch that there will be a ton of games ported back and forth)
Finally, in the end a far larger % of Wii owners will have WMPlus than PS3 owners with Move. So, it really comes back to, "Wii wins".
To me, adding motion this late in the game was stupid for MS and Sony, unless they are considering it more of a test of concepts than real competition. Next gen will interest me far more to see what each company does. Only up to 2years away to find out.
