You're the ones interpreting what he said and turn it into something he clearly made sure he wasn't saying, by stating that he HAD NOT seen the 3DS.

But I guess I should expect that kind of answers from people who primarily (or only) own Nintendo consoles.

Try not to make such generalizations when you're trying to prove a point about how it's wrong to make people look bad.

I agree with your other point, but ending it that way undermined it.

Im ashamed to be associated with most of you in this thread. No wonder gamers are the butts of so many jokes.

Don't make me say things I didn't say, but you know as well as I do that gamers who generally only follow one console maker tend to have a strong bias for them and act like most of what isn't from their console maker of choice is nothing but pure evil.  There are exceptions, and this is indeed a broad generalization, but I can't help but feel like many comments in here are made with that kind of thought process. 

Let's just call it bad faith for the sake of being a little more gentle.

btw: I always thought Sony and MS fanboys are the worst, but at all Ninty fans: you proved that this is not the case! Even if Sony doesn't say anything bad you still find something to bitch about...

Well...the way I see it, is this one.

He talks about 3D for portables... just after nintendo announced the only 3D portable gaming device.... maybe he didn't directly said it....

But I think there's a hidden message in there. But who knows, i tend to be a lil' paranoid sometimes =)

I am willing to bet that Sony also does research on HUNDREDS of different techs that they find inappropriate, but you never hear about those. So why did this inappropriate tech deserve such a public statement from Sony?

I wonder what the reaction would be if Nintendo decided to say to the press, "Yes, we researched 3DTV for the Wii, but we considered the technology to still be too primitive, with the glasses and all..."

I could see several fanboys foaming at the mouth at that statement...
