This is a good idea, maybe they'll wake up and realize that their consumers should be thier first priority instead of their advertizers.

Im loging off now :) I wont even check my account for a couple of days ...

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Thanks guys. And check this out:
http://kotaku.com/gaming/drama/on-the-state-of-game-reviewing-328900.php
http://gonintendo.com/?p=30740

We got this mentioned on Kotaku and GoNintendo. Hopefully this will be enough to at least get CNETs attention. We know that this won't cost them any significant amounts of money, but whatever.

That's why i never go by reviews. The guy should have paid attention to what the higher ups had told him. Yea it's wrong but at least the guy would still have a job. This is most likely a common practice in the industry.

I don't think that's right at all. Its also an extremely poor business practice because now gamespot reviews will have next to no credibility.

It is only a poor  business practice if you get caught.  It's like politicians taking kickbacks and bribes and such, they don't expect to get caught so they do it.  It is only bad for them if they get caught.

Where have you been, under a rock?

Jeff Gertmanns, a 10 year long employee of GS, gave Kane and Lynch a 6 out of 10.

Eidos was paying huge $ in advertising for Kane and Lynch on Gamespot. The new advertising lead guy has been trying to have more influence in the edtioral nature of Gamespot.

So basically he was fired because he a low score whenever the publisher was paying big bucks to advertise the game.

I did a terrible job summarizing it. Check Kotaku, N4G, etc.

Wasn't he also responsable for the Ratchet review and the subsequent defending of, or is this just a rumour, I don't know where I heard it

Ditto. I actually have pity for Jeff, so I'll support him and every other reviewers out there by doing this. =P

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

No big deal, besides this site I only go to IGN.
