Forums - Nintendo - Wii...most immature

Outside of "insecure about how small my penis is, teenage boy land" most of the most immature games have a 'Mature' rating, and most of the most mature games have an 'Everyone' rating ...

I wouldn't so far as to say so many Mature rated games are immature. I wouldn't go so far as to say Manhunt is an immature game...it just can certainly be mishandled by immature people that way.

It's all open to interpretation and discretion. What one thinks is profound and worth playing, the other may think is worthless and childish. Just play the game and figure out yourself. The ESRB is just there to warn you about violence, sex, and language.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Violence isn't immature, but glamorized violence is, which is essentially Manhut's hook (and GTA to somewhat less of an extent).

I guess the one who made this thread, wrote the title wrong..... you could say wii aims at a younger audience..... and not immature.....

That depends on what you are talking about.  I'd like to pull out No More Heroes as an example.  The game is using over-the-top death and violence as a means of humor and satire.  As IGN said "It's artistic, not realistic."  Does over-the-top gore used for the purpose of creating a crazy art style count as immature?

All games can be played, and enjoyed, by everyone, for all games are are simply just rays of light, projecting off a television screen, along with sounds, and your imagination. That is all they are.

Immature is exactly the opposite of what you're saying. To me a game like Manhunt is more immature than carnival games. But I'm going to chalk this one up to semantics. You're trying to say it's the console with the least games targeted at higher age ratings.

And yes, yes it is.

This is the correct answer.

QFT, people need to stop reading into these too much.

Obviously I'm making a generalization.  But if it's satire, then it's probably using satirized violence to illustrate the immaturity of glamorized violence.  Is that accurate?

So a game is less "mature" because a child can play it... wow. I suppose hipsters should stop drinking coffee it's not hip cause kids can do it. Tear down the Starbucks!(No seriously... someone please? What kind of coffee place calls a Small Grande?! a$$holes!) OK bad example but still just as ridiculous when you think about it.

>.> I'm 22 well over the age of these "mature"games and really... on every system most of the games I own are E and E10+ with a healthy sprinkle of T and I think I own like... 40 or 50 M rated games.. over the span of 17 years of collecting.

Exactly what do those charts prove though when you think about 50% of 100 is less then 20% of 300 just a thought.... Edit: Isn't a large majority of the people buying these Mature titles children themselves which instantly invalidates the whole argument if you ask me..

Wii is the best for everyone, you can talk all you want about ratings, but those M rated games are not the future of gaming, they are the niche titles of the future
