I heard that the PC version will be digital download or "content license" only. I prefer to actually own my games so I will most likely do XBOX.

Since I have a Fable 2 save, 360.

Also, I want to be able to use the Kinect features.

If it's available on the PC then PC it is!

There might be kinect features implemented via update, so Xbox 360. And you can use your old save games, so Xbox 360. There is no DRM, so Xbox 360. There is a limited edition for Xbox 360, so Xbox 360.

Well when you haven't got a 360, go PC.

To be honest graphics whores and people who prefer the keyboard/mouse interface will both lean towards the PC. Your comparison is clearly angled to the one side.

You make valid points but fable is a series who has a majority of its fanbase on consoles.  The first fable didn't come to pc until later on and the sequel never appeared on the pc.  Everyone knows that the 360 version is going to outsell the pc version unless something goes seriously wrong with the 360 version technically.

So for a poll to show the pc version being the more popular one shows how anti xbox 360 this site really is.

It would be like someone doing a poll asking which version of street fighter are you going to get the pc version or a ps3 version.  I can guarrantee most would choose the ps3 despite the advantages of the pc because street fighter is a traditional console game whose fanbase is use to playing it on a console.

But when it's a choice between 360 or pc things seem to change for people on this site.

I suppose PC version will be more popular on this website, but Xbox360 version for me.

because its full of fanboys :(

or maybe because the PC version will be superior and cheaper?!

Most of fables fans are on consoles so the 360 version should still be the most popular despite the pc version being cheaper.  I'm not sure how superior the pc version will be most developers do quick console to pc ports nowadays.

Kinect as seen by PS3 owners ...if you can pick at it   ...post it ... Did I mention the 360 was black and Shinny? Keeping Sigs obscure since 2007, Passed by the Sig police 5July10.

Or it shows how popular PC is on this website. I don't doubt the 360 version will outsell the PC version, but we're on a video games site here. The PC is the one machine we can all but gaurantee everyone has and on a games site, there will be a dispropotionate number of core PC fans for whom gaming will be a significant hobby for them (relative to the mainstream sites and media).

Flawed analogy. Whilst fable may be a heavily console based game, the original was on PC and as a WRPG is actually very at home on the PC (where WRPGs are quite popular). It might not port well but it's still in a popular genre on PC, and these are all issues for the future. Street Fighter is a beat-em-up, a genre which has never been popular on PC. A fairer comparison would have been something like Fallout New Vegas, and I think you'd get similar results to the poll above.

On your point about how popular the pc is on this website.  You could get away with your comments if this site didn't keep up with what forums are being created and with how many people are commenting on them making them hot topics.  Compare the console threads and forums with the pc ones.

No one seems to be commenting as frequently in the pc forum and no one seems to be creating topics that deal with the pc.  If the pc was so popular on this site like you claim then its topics would dominate this site and make the hot topics more often. Click on your home page where it shows the hot topics and tell me how many do you see for the pc.

-On your point #2  I said fable 1 was on the pc but it came 1 year later and it received the majority of its sales on the xbox.  Even if WRPGs are popular on the Pc Fable is still heavily console based which many core Pc fans usually hate because they say it's dumbed down for consoles and doesn't have all of the features that they have come to expect in a wrpg on the pc.

You brought up Fallout which is a perfect example.  Fallout 3 was made with consoles heavily in mind.  Ask any core pc fan what they thought about Fallout 3 when compared to Fallout 2 and most will tell you it was crap because it was dumbed down for consoles.

Ahem. You're talking to a core PC fan. I own all the Fallout games except Fallout Tactics. I loved Fallout 3 except for GFWL. The game itself was very good and the user mods were highly impressive to the point where the modding community is still quite strong on Fallout 3. It's a very different experience to Fallout 2 and some will prefer Fallout 2 to 3, but definately not all. Whilst it may have been designed with consoles in mind, it retained some of the aspects that make PC gaming great, namely, the user mods.

On the first point, it's true that hardcore PC gamers aren't as prevalent as console gamers on this site, but I get the distinct impression a lot of gamers are both. A number of the Wii owners on this site for instance also game on PC because the Wii is a completely seperate experience to PC. Whilst they may game predominantly on one console, they also own a PC and will play games on PC.

PC is the one machine nearly everyone on the site owns, so even if it isn't their primary gaming device, if a game they want to play is available on PC and they don't own a 360, they'll play it on PC. Just because people aren't talking about it doesn't mean people don't own and play on it. Also, a lot of the threads are popular due to the console wars which PC really isn't part of. If you took that fanboy fodder out of the forums then the Hot Topics would be a lot quieter (& more civilised, lol) and I think you'd see a lot of threads about multiplat games on 360/PS3/PC.
