Lol, c'mon... I liked sorcerer too but... it's on a completely  different level.

I bet it's small budget, small production time, family orienteded game. Zelda is guaranteed to be huge, high production values, 4 years in development, made by fans for fans.

But Sorcery was the best thing of sony's conference, I give you that.

you must be joking, or just not even the most minute sony fan.

killzone 3 and Twisted metal were breathtaking, and socom looked very entertaining, as well as Medal of Honor. But those things just probably aren't up your alley one bit.

I'm not! The only things I liked were Sorcery and LBP2.

I hate blood and guns. And edgy games like twisted metal too - heck, I'm a pink blob guy (kirby) not a Sadistic Clown one (that guy from twisted metal). And most important, I hate with a passion Racing Sims - so GT was like always the very bad part of E3 (forza too btw)

So, by my tastes, Sorcery was good, the others were not breathtaking. Not at all.

that explains it. I really despise that manga/anime your character is from. We have different tastes almost completely.

Sorcery looked good and all, but come on.. Better than Zelda? ZELDA??

That's like saying Little Big Planet is the better platformer than NSMB Wii.

The powers looked fun to use, but the environments and enemies looked bland. It's like Harry Potter but a bit more dark.

some people actually believe the bolded...

It looked and played a lot better than the Zelda Nintendo showed on the Wii. I say show me a video of Link shanking up a bottle of potion and drinking it and i'm sold on Zelda, until then Socery looked way better than Zelda in every way.

Man it's weird seeing this from Sony fans.  I mean where is all the bashing saying I don't to swing my arm or do this or that when i can just push a button.  So now Zelda just pushes the (-) button to drink a potion, while this game you have to basically take a shot, oh and possibly shake the wand first, and now that cool?

Not all sony fans are the same. Like Jack Tretton said, we come from all walks of life and demographics. Some hate anything motion, some just hate what nintendo has done (or failed to do) with motion, and some are on the fence, or even own a wii.

both presentations were pretty boring and basic. Zelda combat does seem to be interesting in turns of slashing directions. When it comes down to it though these games most lasting moments are the puzzles and the bosses, and there is no way i can see sorcery being better in either of those catagories.

The novelty of shaking potions will wear off quickly, and then its just looks like an ugly 3rd person shooting game with similar combat to fable if it had come out on the wii. Zelda also looks crappy but thats excusable for the wii and the combat looks like it will be much funner if enemies are more fluent with their blocking then what was shown.

Argument over. Just visit any site that has had a hands-on with Zelda on the show floor and they will tell you Zelda worked just fine on the show floor. (Just checked for myself.)

ha I also missed his speech live and heard some say it was epic.  I found it a great speech as well, but very hypocritical coming from sony.  I mean how much bashing had been going on about the Wii and its waggle, or about casual games and how sony has hardcore games and not some kiddy casual system like the wii.  And here he is saying we are all people and whats wrong if your firend has a hot girlfriend if you also have a hot girlfriend.  Haven't wii been saying that since day one.  I coudl care less about nintendogs, but apparantly 20 million do care.  Why should it bother me, i am gettting games i like still.

Oh and to those who are saying that sorcery showed what move can do, I feel like you havne't ever had a wii.  I don't own a huge library of Wii games, but played enough and i wasn't wowed at all.  Really just felt like I was watching as Practer said a Wii HD.

I love how the Zelda controls had a little bit of interference during the bow and arrow demo and now people are so quick to say it's going to suck, or that some no name Move title is going to own it, despite all acounts saying the motion controls for the game work great.

Are you sure you guys don't just WANT Zelda to fail?

I think, more accurately, you have to keep in mind that this is a possible launch title. The thought process is something similar to product quality increasing over time, and this game as a foundation is an interesting starting point for that progress.

I think you and peachbuggy completely skipped the part in the OP about "Zelda like we've seen a thousand times before"
