No Sorcery looked like a gamecube game, and one of those 3rd party THQ ones at that. If you're either 12 or a pedo, you'd be into the Harry Potter knockoff.

Can't help but be offended by this...half assed assumptions ftw...

Same. If what he said to be true. I would be a pedo and i do not take things like that lightly at all

best to just class the comment as a moment of stupidity me thinks and be done with it.

Probably a good idea, as there's nothing else to be done about it. Not like you're gonna fly from the UK and do something about it =P

we could call you a nancy boy or something i guess. :P

ouch triple post

I just watched the Sorcery gameplay on youtube. So that's the game that makes people go "wow".

yea i was confused when I saw the video finally too.  my feed had gone done during this live so i was just watching peoples comments about how amazing this was and so Wii Killer and all.

Then I watched it later and was expecting something great, but it just felt like a Wii game.  Has pretty much a rough auto aim, you flick in general direction and it hits enemy.  The drinking potion?  really, how was that such amazing?  Oh you shook up bottle right, yea we aren't waggle.  But nothing seemed impressive to me more than a wii game.  Hell I thought the whole metroid prime twisting and pushing to unlock locks was about as good as anything shown for sorcery.

Now I'm not saying it is a bad game, looks neat, kind of a harry potter feel to it, but we'll see how it goes before judging.  Some surprise me good or bad, hell I thought dragon blade wrath of fire looked awesome when shown way back when and see how that turned out.

but the sorcery game felt mostly, EMPTY.  just didn't feel alive

What's that supposed to mean? That's one tricky statement, not sure how to interpret it.

What's so tricky about it?  Zelda was playable, Sorcery was not, and that goes pretty far in my book.

That's kinda my roundabout point. Zelda was terrible, and this game seemed better. They both seemed empty to me. Like I said earlier, both have a while to go before release.

do you mean playable as in the game worked, or playable on the show floor?

before I read the comments I'd like to say that Sorcery was my treat of E3

Call me corny and cheezy but remember last year's E3 when the idea of the "bulb" changing colors when different spells could be casted was pitched? well, I thought that was an amazing idea.

the controls, power measuring, freezing, tornado, flame balls and flame shield spells all made the nerd in me scream. When I saw the flame mixed into the tornado I was sold. I was kind skeptic when I started to think, "what if he gets swamped by a dozen enemies at once?" but when I saw that seismic spell my imagination went wild!

Really looking forward to this.

Edit * oh OP Sorcery >>>>>>> Zelda

I am the black sheep     "of course I'm crazy, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong."-Robert Anton Wilson

Well, Zelda had controls issues on Miyamoto's showing, but I went to see the comments while people were testing it, very good comments and responsive controls. I just hope the graphics will be polished. In fact, I don't care if it's cell-shading. It makes it less dark (Twilight Princess was too dark).

Both.*

*Unless you're Miyamoto.

This is what I thought you probably meant, but how was Sorcery not playable?

Did people besides the demonstrators get to play it?  If so, I retract my statement.

Lol, c'mon... I liked sorcerer too but... it's on a completely  different level.

I bet it's small budget, small production time, family orienteded game. Zelda is guaranteed to be huge, high production values, 4 years in development, made by fans for fans.

But Sorcery was the best thing of sony's conference, I give you that.

Looks pretty good, but from the video I saw I would give it 'better than Star Wars - the force unleashed'. I don't know where you are getting this 'better than Zelda' thing from

Looks a bit easy (especially considering how much autotargeting is present) but that could just be that they demoed an easy level
