Are you excited about the GoldenEye remake?  What are your fondest memories of the original, and what do you hope they keep or drop for the remake?

I'm actually not looking forward to this. I was a PC only gamer in the 90's and so already found the GoldenEye controls poor, and the gameplay/graphics average by the time I first played it at a friends.

I am. I spent countless hours playing the multiplayer. It was great. That's all I want. The same multiplayer fun that I had when I played it on my N64.

Back in the day, goldeneye was the best simply ebcause the control were the best a console had ever witnessed. I was a hardcore GE fan. I posted walkthroughs, cheats, tricks etc etc on geocities webpages. Then xbox came out, and I was like, "fuck MS, they can keep their giant box, and greedy paws out of my innocent gaming experience". Then I played Halo, and for a second, I stopped. I looked down at the controller, looked back up. Looked around shot some people. The control style and sensitivity was exactly the same as in Goldeneye. They were identical. Fluid and easy.

Now, almost every game is like that. Halo killed goldeneye. It's not coming back, and the fact that it looks almost the exact same is such an insult.

Nope! The only game in nintendo conference I'll not buy.

The original Goldeneye is one of my all time favorites, but this one is just plain ugly by the standards of most shooters I play on the HD twins. I no longer have interest in it when I initially did.

Plus, Goldeneye is Brosnan's fucken movie, Daniel Craigs huge pex should  only be in games based on movies starring him.

I am happy for the announcement, but I am worried about the end product

ugh, that was an even bigger insult. wtf, they just changed the main character. Maybe trevelyan should be goldfinger, and Xenia Onatopp can be played by Oddjob.

I'm pretty psyched for it.  One of the best announcements for me at E3.  Will definitely be a Day 1 buy.
