that freaked you out?  why?

Because I actually wanted one and couldn't believe how easily that happened. Ran over tons of speed bumps while blasting music through a CD player, moved my PS3 and old PS2 with games inside before. Never had this problem with a PSP UMD. Yet this happened so easily and quick.

@disolitude

Total not the case here, dude. I looked at the first page of the MS forums and nothing. Would assume a thread about this wouldn't disappear that quickly.

4 ≈ One

I just read a report of the same thing here

http://www.destructoid.com/e3-10-new-xbox-same-old-disc-destroying-problems-176508.phtml

If you watch the video, he only moves the consoles up by 90 degrees for about 2 seconds and when he takes the disc out its got a scratch the size of a trench in it!

I was actually tempted to pick up one of these new XB's but im gonna hang back now and wait a see.

The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them.

Luckily enough... that didn't happen to me(yet)...

Seriously that's scary sh*t. WTF Microsoft... I'm just more scared that two things might crap out here if this happens.

imagine people playing natal near the xbox, imagine kids playing with it OMG feith....

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

And so it begins... I hope Sony do have something big to show us because if the 360 gains momentum again I am not sure I will be able to cope with all these "informative" videos.

Kinect as seen by PS3 owners ...if you can pick at it   ...post it ... Did I mention the 360 was black and Shinny? Keeping Sigs obscure since 2007, Passed by the Sig police 5July10.

LOL who moves around their console like that when they play it?

Just don't use the x360 slim on the back of a bus I guess...

This thread has been posted 3 times now.

I have yet to see someone that actually plays xbox post this thread... Mostly Ps3 owners pointing pretending as they are concerned for Xbox 360 owners.

Kinda sad...

Kind of sad you are the only one to notice.

Sounds like you are a very emotional person.

Seriously though, 360 gets a lot of slack here... I'm sure more people notice but they don't really care anymore.

so now you wont get one because you cant move it around while playing a disc?  why would anyone do that anyway?

Point is that shit happens. Having kids in the house is the easiest way to have it happen.

Plus the Kintect plugs into the back. What say you when someone has to plug or unplug it while they already have the 360 running? Right there you need to move the console.

I pity those who live in California.
