E3 2008, yes, I remember being angry that year lol, Nintendo failed hugely..

The 360 may be getting a lot of support for core gamers but where was it? I'm not bashing the 360 here, I'm bashing Microsoft's performance

They showed almost nothing in the pipeline. Quite weird.  E3 is the place for that.

the screw attack guy is crazy lol should microsoft supply core gamers with all the good games no and they never have. none of my favorite 360 games are made by microsoft there made my companies that devlop them for the system. Microsoft is doing anything wrong there just adding to there library.

Also calling for first  rights on COD downloadable content does not help a consumer in any way it only helps Microsoft, so it was really just sticking it to the consumer especially ps3 only owners (Not me).

Only one new IP's annonced not involving kinect and an exclusive star wars game is small news, so overall a bad reaction from the press is not suprising.

I think  MS conference proves that MS doesn't infact "care" about hardcore gamers as their fans claim. They only care about making money. They simply go where the money is. Right now, they see the money at motion control games with Kinect.

The tragedy is however, the quality of these Kinetic games looks nowhere near the quality of Wii's games. They look extremely boring and look like nothing Wii hasn't already done. Because of this, the sales will reflect the quality. So now, MS risks not only missing the boat with the expanded audience, but angering the core gamers as well, which is where the vast majority of their sales come from. MS could be in trouble after this conference.

Hmm wasn't Fable 3 supposed to use Kinect? it's after all released 1-2 weeks before Kinect.

They didnt show any games that would make a causal gamer pick kinect over the wii. The only hardcore games they showed were multi platform and gow and halo reach and i had so much interest in fable 3 but that demo was horrible. I mean the espn thing is pretty cool but making all your xbox interface voice activated and motion sensing isn't very amazing. Its like voice recognition on your cell phone, you play around with it in the beginning than you never use it again. While watching the chick do the kick boxing you clearly see how much kinect lagged behind her movements. What really gets me is where was the kinect intergation with HD games like halo reach or alan wake i didnt care about the wii sports.I dont get how people are saying this new xbox 360 at the same price point of the current ps3 will cause trouble, anyone with half a mind can see the ps3 still has more hardware and features in the current console.All this is my option but really?

I was expecting some more big exclusives and a few more Xbox live add-ons like Hulu but what I saw was pretty sweet.  A new game from crytek that looks like Spartacus, another Forza coming out next year, and the star wars game, and dance game look like fun.  And I love the new 360 design...its so sexy!

One thing is for sure though; MS is definitely trying to become more family orientated (which is not necessarily a bad thing)

As for the conference itself, there were plenty of spots that I cringed at (because of the worthless acting attempts)

And the fact that Kinect will probably cost $150 is just stupid....so very very stupid.

As a matter of principal I'm sure he and others refused their free Xbox 360 slim.
