All of that said, the technology is phenomenally impressive, and controlling your screen with nothing but your bare hands does raise a smile. I just wish the software had raised a bit more excitement, that's all. Can I take the white poncho off now please?
Sounds to me as thought the tech is fine... just needs software..... obviuously. |
That does raise my hopes for tonight's conference, hopefully Microsoft will bring some interesting games, because they haven't showed any so far, as far as I am concerned. Maybe the Star Wars game, but I'll hold my judgement until it is shown properly.
I had low expectations for Natal, but this is just too much... They can't even show a real demo?

Quote about Itagaki was from here.
_____
For me, the highlight of the evening was watching Ninja Gaiden creator Tomonobu Itagaki walk into the event in his white robe, taking in the scene behind his traditional sunglasses. He looked around a few times, stood quietly for a few moments and then turned around and left.
Thanks to natal (or "kai-nect" or "ken-nect" or whatever it's named) MS will become the new Nintendo*.

Yep and I posted it on my post in the previous page.
"My moment of zen came not as the burlapped elf men playfully dangled tin cans from sticks or when the show-closing music swelled as images of Xbox Live Avatars flew against a starry sky. For me, the highlight of the evening was watching Ninja Gaiden creator Tomonobu Itagaki walk into the event in his white robe, taking in the scene behind his traditional sunglasses. Itagaki man... He's known to love his Xbox but even he knew that this was just underwhelming. Nothing was shown live and I bet the games shown just weren't his taste.

This falls under the Me two category. I dont understand MS at all. Ignoring This Motion BS AND DOING A HYPER HARDCORE show would have been brilliant on there part. Its not like Microsoft have a long lost costamer userbase from the 1980's that have not gamed in 20 years and have kids to by a gaming consule for like Nintendo. WTF are they thinking???
Sony and MS need to make motion controler about something diffrent then Nintendo and we just witnessed Microsft fail very hard at doing that.

Well...
Developer's leaving. Staged demo. Lack of "Quality" software. Huge rumored pricing.
I hope they have some great games to show at the real conference.
